"Hey, Gardevoir! Wake up, wake u-" My trainer, Jonathon, started to say as he walked into my room (Jonathon was such a good trainer, that he would let us sleep in our own separate rooms, rather than being cramped in a Pokeball), but he oddly stopped. I opened my eyes, and sat up groggily. I had such a bad headache!
"Gardevoir?" I asked, but my voice was so very different. It surprised me a lot. I just sat on my bed, dumbstruck, while Jonathon stared at me with fear. My head kept aching, so I raised my hand to hold it, and stopped. This was not my hand, it looked like a hand Jonathon would have. I quickly sat up, and rushed over to my full length mirror. I grew speechless as what I saw.
I looked similar to what i'd usually look like, but I still looked nothing like myself anymore. I had tan skin, rather than the usual white, and my eyes were a lot smaller, and I was quite taller than I used to be. My horn that was originally in the center of my chest, was nowhere to be seen, and instead, I was wearing a small pendant, which the charm was very similar to my horn.
"W-what...happened?" I again surprised myself. I usually was only able to speak, using the pokemon language, but I suddenly was able to speak in the human's language. Jonathon pointed out that this language is called English.
"G-gardevoir...is that you..?" Jonathon asked with fear in his voice. I quickly turned around.
"Yes! It is!" I protested. I still couldn't comprehend how quickly I was adapting to the English language, but I was mostly relieved that Jonathan could finally completely understand what I am saying. The biggest problem between Jonathan and us were that he could not fully understand what we were trying to tell him.
He calmed down a tiny bit, but I was still worried that we would not trust me.
"What happened to me?" I asked Jonathan, as he walked closer to me. He seemed to not understand what happened to me, either.
"So, you just woke up like this?"
"Yes...I don't know what could have happened..."
"I...don't know what to do...I guess you'll just have to stay like this until we can find a way to revert this..."
"Okay.."

I was sitting in my usual seat for breakfast in Jonathan's kitchen. I never noticed how cold it was until now, so I was borrowing an old sweatshirt of Jonathan's. I also noticed that I still had the headache, but it didn't feel as bad as it was earlier, so I thought nothing of it. When the rest of the team (Pokemon team) came in, they stared at me with puzzled looks.
"Garde-Gardevoir. Voir, Garde." I began talking to them in my native tongue. They, too, didn't know how this came to be, but they quickly accepted it, and joined us at the table.
Jonathan's team (other than me) was comprised of a Golduck, Luxaray, Growlithe, Pelipper, and a Quilladin. The Pelipper, Luxuray, and I were female, where as the Golduck, Growlithe, and Quilladin were male.
"Because of what happened this morning, i'm not going to go out and train you guys at all." Jonathan stated towards the team. They were let down by this notice, but they soon went back to normal, as they started eating their Pokepuffs. Jonathan then turned to me.
"So..we have to find out what happened to you, and to see if you can go back to normal." Jonathan told me, as I unconsciously brushed a green strand of hair out of my face.
"Okay...but where would we begin to ask?" I replied, very concerned.
"I...don't know..."
