"Now that I'm without your kisses, I'll be needing stitches!" Ugh not this song again. Don't get me wrong I love the song, but I've heard it three time in the past 45 minutes on this long car ride. I've been stuck in this car for 3 and a half hours and I'm ready to get out.

After Mom died of cancer, Dad married Becky and I got three new siblings along with the sister I have now. Yay! Not. Dad's new job gave him a promotion which is great with a family of seven, but it was in Los Angeles. I had to leave the town I grew up in and all my friends in it. I will admit it would be cool to live in a place as big and popular as L.A. and I can post pictures of me in Hollywood and Beverly Hills on Instagram to rub it into Kassandra's face. Kassandra and I have hated each other since the seventh grade after I "stole" her ex-boyfriend Jaden. Apparently she still had feelings for Jaden after dumping him the day after he bought her diamond earrings for their six-month anniversary. Just to go out with Sam the quarterback who sleeps with any girl he can get.

After what felt like forever stuck in the car with Dad, Becky, Kat, Bree, Tanner, and Lilly we had finally made it to Los Angeles from Austin, Texas. As we are driving through the wonderful 5 o'clock rush hour in Los Angeles I look out the window of our and listen to some music. Out of the window I look in between the passing cars I saw some cool graffiti on the curbs and under bridges and made me think how talented they are to do something like that for every passing car to see. A fun fact I learned was that in some places in some parts of L.A. people could express themselves through the art of spray paint on buildings, and if you were really good some people paid you to paint on their walls for advertisement. Some of them were weird looking but others had deep meaning like a bird in a girl's eye, now it might seem gory and repulsive, but it looks to me like she sees her freedom and only has to push herself a little further to get there. The palm trees are different from what I see everyday, but I think the sight overall is amazing!

With the drive being long and the family being restless we finally pulled into a Walmart on Crenshaw Blvd.

"It looks sketchy," says the eldest of Becky, Kat. Becky laughs.

Dad parks the shiny, red Dodge Journey into the first parking spot he could find; which was quite difficult, it was packed! As we walk toward the doors of the three story Walmart I breathed in only to choke on the scent of cigarette smoke and BO. I looked around and saw people standing outside smoking , a lot of them seemed homeless. The street and sidewalks were covered in trash. It was sad to see dead plants and such an unsanitary facility.

My eight year old little sister Lilly and I went to the bathrooms, but when we entered the line of women, again consisted of other races than my own. All I wanted to do was get in and out of the bathroom and I did just that.

"Lilly!!!" I yelled running after her. "Come back! You know you aren't supposed to leave on your own!" As I catch up to her I see she is standing with Becky as she waits for Dad and Tanner, my nine year old step-brother to get out of the men's restroom. "Lilly next time you need to stay with me and not run off like that. It's a much bigger place out here and It's way easier to lost in a crowd like this." Geez, a monkey would behave better than this child!

"Lilly why did you run off?!" Becky said in a worried but irritated tone of voice.

"I don't know," She said now said sobbing.

"Kylie's is right you can't just run off like that. Don't do it again," Becky exclaimed in a softer tone.

"Okay," Lilly replied wiping her tears off her red, puffy face.

We head up the huge elevator though the second out of the three levels of this giant Walmart. It was nothing I've never seen before though, I've been to bigger buildings and malls in Dallas. We walked down the bread aisle to get bagels, bread and other essentials we need for the next couple of days while we settled into the new house. As we went down the drink aisle to get water bottles and juice I noticed a hair-raising man checking out Kat. The outfit she wore didn't help the situation either. Kat wore tight short-shorts that showed off her butt a little and a small navy blue whale crop top. It was a cute outfit, but it made the guy look at her in ways the was just unconfortable.

"Did you see that guy checking out my butt?" Kat whispered creeped out.

"Yeah it was nasty,"  I laughed.

"Can we hurry and leave? I don't like it here." Bree complained.

"Yeah it's creepy here," Kat replied.

"Yeah it really is," I replied.

"Yes we are almost done, just be patient," Becky said with tightness.

After going back 'n forth between food isles getting spaghettios, milk, ramen noodles, cream cheese, and other food items we head back to the cash register. The ones upstairs lines were so long we had to go all the way back down to the first floor with our cart full of food.
