Something about his name sounded familiar, like I heard mom and dad talking about a Hawthorne once.
"Well nice to meet you Rory my name is Rose Everdeen." I say with a smile
"Your dad has a very nice last name." he says
"Oh its not my dads, it's my moms. Dad said we should go by our moms last name because it is "very special""
"Neat!'
All of a sudden we hear the schools warning bell from a mile away. The warning bell rings ten minutes before class starts to remind the children. Rory looks at me with a smirk.
"Race ya"
"It's on" I reply
We take of down the path wind blowing through our hair. Rory starts off ahead of me so with all my might I run as fast as i can and push myself passed him. About 2 minutes later we reach the school.
