Water. I always thought it was funny how something that could save your life could end it. It's either drink the water and not die of dehydration or let the water take your last breath. When I was a kid I would always lay on the bottom of the pool and look up. Everything looked so distorted, so irregular, so different. I loved it. It was like an escape from reality but it didn't last long. I mean it's not like u can hold your breath forever. There wasn't any sound. Just me. Alone with my thoughts really. But then you get this feeling in your chest and you know it's time to return to the surface. As soon as your head breaks the surface you are back to reality. Back to nothing. I had to go through this process now as I exited the pool. I got out and I thought. I thought about everything and everyone. I dried my self off and got dressed. I went the short walk to my house. But I didn't even make it half way down the road.
