Chapter One: Before She Died

Amy and I met in kindergarten. It was a gloomy first day of our first year in kindergarten. I still remember that day like it was yesterday. She was wearing a bright pink dress and her hair was in a ponytail. I was wearing a black top and a dark blue jeans.
Amy was always a bubbly little girl. She always was one of those people who wanted everyone to be happy and when someone was sad she did everything she could to make them happy.
She was the one to come up to me that day. She was the only person who didn't think I was 'weird' or the odd one out of the class. She told me she thought what I was wearing was cool and that she knew that we would be best friends till death. She was right. We were friends till death.
You see Amy, at that time, thought she was a fortune teller. She always told the future. Most of the time she was right. I don't know how but it was like she could really tell the future. She told me that it all came to her in dreams but I always thought they were just that, dreams.
You know, I remember that once she said that she died in her newest dream. I thought that maybe her dream won't ever come true so I let it go. I should have believed her, I should have protected her. I'm such a bad friend.
She always told me about her 'dreams' and if they were bad she would try to fix what happened in the dream in real life. She always was the kind-hearted one.
We were total opposites but I guess that was what made us click. I guess I always wanted to protect her so that's why I never believed her.
You know when we were younger she was always the smarter one I, on the other hand, struggled with my education. When we started 9th grade she was so distracted so she was losing marks. She started becoming number 2 instead of number 1 in most of our classes.
She never told me what was distracting her. Well not till the day she died. I still wonder why it was distracting her. I never found it a problem. We both had blood on out hands that we didn't want but I didn't think it was that big of a problem.

Sorry the chapter is so small. I was having writers block. But then I got an idea and I thought that leaving you guys at a cliff-hanger would be good for me to think the whole story through.
