What if this was different
Where Eros meant more than lust
And lust didn't result in anger. What if you and I meant something
More than just sitting in dead air
Talking words that mean nothing once said.Wonder is colorful
Making images of a future us
Appear before my eyes.Like we could have something more
But the present isn't something I want to open
Because it makes me realize
Reality is nothing more than Eros standing over our shoulders.

A/N:
So today my teacher talked about the four types of love. He started by saying how amazing it is that so much meaning could only have one word to define it. He then broke Love into four categories.
1) Eros- this is the type of love that means lust/ sexual (physical) attraction.
2) Philos- brotherly love, family love, how a person loves friends.
3) Stagros- love for an object such as food.
4) Agape- unconditional true love.Looking at this changed my perception today. I started to see how little or how much certain people mean to me. I wrote this poem today and it's completely unedited and messy but the point isn't to be Perfect the point is to capture how it feels to be caught up in a love that will lead no where no matter how much I hope it will. It's disappointing but at the same time helpful. It makes me understand how much more agape means.
If you read this all the way through know that I love you and I hope everything is wonderful,
Katelyn
