Elizabeth's P.O.V.

I got out of the cab and paid the man. I looked up at the building in front of me while the cab drove away. There where a couple windows with thin curtains guarding the inside. I sighed and went up to the door.

I knocked on the door underneath the address 221b Baker Street. After a minute the door was opened by an older woman in a dress with a bright smile. "Uh hi I'm here for Sherlock Holmes?" I said and she smiled opening the door wider. "Of course dear, follow me" she said letting me in then walking up the stairs. I sighed again quietly and followed her up.

We got to the top and she opened the door. "Ooh hoo" she said surprising me for a moment. "Mrs. Hudson what did I say about coming in here without tea?" Said a man sitting on a chair with his eyes closed and his hands in a praying motion touching his lips. "Client!" She said smiling at me. I smiled back at her.

"Hello Miss Bell" he said without opening his eyes. I raised an eye brow. "Mr. Holmes" I said returning the greeting. "Ms. Hudson, would you make Miss Bell and I a tea" he said. "Just this once" she said walking to the kitchen.

"Please, call me Elizabeth" I said sitting in the chair opposite of him. He mumbled a quiet 'mmm' while he opened his eyes. "Do you enjoy violin music?" He said starring at me. I furrowed my eyebrows. "I guess so- Mr Holmes I'm not here to talk about violin music" I said and he smirked a little but it left as soon as it came. "Yes, my brother has informed me that you are in need of help" he said. I didn't answer right away. "Yes but I don't see why" I said finally as Ms. Hudson walked in again setting down a tray of tea with biscuits.

"Thank you" I said smiling at her as she walked out smiling back. Sherlock started pouring two teas. "Mr. Holmes, Mycroft says I needed help, from you specifically for some reason, but I don't see why because the police have it under control" I said and he stopped what he was doing and stared at me without moving an inch. "But they don't, do they" he said and I hesitated but decided not to say anything.

He went back to doing what he was doing and looked away from me. "What happened" he said putting sugar and milk in his tea and stirring it. "Mycroft said he told you-"

"He did but I'd rather here it from you" he said staring at me again. "Um, well a couple months ago, people came to my family and killed them all other than me, I was left with injuries, my family was a very wealthy family so that's probably why he did it. And I was the only person to see who the people where plus the man that was in charge of it. He spoke to me about why he did it but with my injuries I got minor amnesia and can't remember who it was. I remembered my family and what happened to them and I remembered everything as time went on other than the man in charge and his workers" I said quickly.

He didn't say anything and I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "Mr. Holmes I-" "Sherlock" he said cutting me off with his tea cup close to his lips and sipping it. "Sherlock, I don't need help, police are doing the best they can and I don't see how you could help" I said standing up. "Elizabeth, the people who are solving your problem are idiots. I live in a world of idiots, I can do things you will never think anyone could do. Let me solve your crime" he said leaning forward in his chair. I tried not to look intimidated. I breathed deeply and looked away from him.

"Anyways we both know that we both don't have a choice" he said leaning back in his seat waving his hand
nonchalantly. I slightly nodded agreeing with him. Mycroft forced me into this so he probably forced Sherlock into it.

We sat there in silence for a long minute. "So, violin music?" He said sipping his tea again. I rolled my eyes. "It's fine, music if beautiful if it's played well" I said sipping my own tea. "And where do you live, Elizabeth" he said emotionless. "I don't live anywhere at the moment. I've been living with my friend for a while but she's moving and she can't bring me, obviously. And she only let me stay out of pity. I never liked her and I think she knew" I said smirking a little. "My brother suggested you live here until I solve your crime" he said crossing his legs.

"I don't know you" I said. "Sherlock Holmes, I'm a high functioning sociopath, a consulting detective and I solve crimes. Is that enough?" He said. I didn't respond at first. "You could be a murderer for all I know" I said hiding my smirk with my tea. "Do you think the government would have sent you to me if I was?" He said annoyed and I chuckled lightly. "Ok. I will be here tomorrow with my things" I said serious again.

I starting putting my coat and scarf on. "So, thank you. Sherlock" He furrowed his eyebrows and got up.

He walked over and held out his hand. I took it and shook it. "It was nice meeting you Elizabeth, I will see you again" he said. He had a deep voice, it was almost soothing, I nodded. "I'll see you tomorrow" I mumbled and left quickly.

I walked down the cold London street and kept to my own thoughts.

A flat, how cute.
