Bora's POV

"Bora Choi?" "Yes", I said confidently as the man lead me to my new apartment. As I walked down the hallway dragging my luggage I see a tall guy with brown bangs looking at me as he open the door next to my apartment. He gave me a rectangle smile with his squinty eyes and went inside. The lobby man gave me the keys and left. I jiggle the key into the lock and flung the front door opened. I stand there scanning everything inside it. Everything was the same after I lefted. My baby toys were still in the bin inside my childhood room and there still hanged a family protrait above my bunk bed. I opened my bag and hunt for my phone inside. I dialed my mom's number.
Me:"Omma, I'm here!"
Mom:"Omo how is it? Is everything okay there?"
Me:"Everything is okay and its wonderful to be back in Seoul."
Mom: "How's the house...anything changed?"
Me: "Nothing changed..."
Mom: "Well have fun make sure to study hard there! I have to go back to work now...saranghae."
Me:"I love you too. I promise one day when I earn the money I will bring you back to Seoul. I promise."
Mom:".... okay. I have to go now. Love you."
*Call ended*
I walk to the living room and I hear music blasting aganist my wall. I put my ear aganist the wall and I hear people screaming along to a song. I remember the boy who smiled at me in the hallway. Is he one of the boys screaming on the other side? I walked back to my room to ignore the noise and unpacked my belongings. The neighbors were still screaming to their song after half an hour later. "I'll deal with them later",I said to myself. I started cleaning up the house a bit and made myself lunch.
_______
I let the gravity pull me down on the soft white sheets. Laying on the bed I felt like I was 5 again. My dad and mom would come to my room and take turns reading me my favorite bed time story.
I moved to California after I turned 7 and my night rountine would still be the same. They laid right next to me, but two years later my dad had an addiction. Gambling was a big thing back then. My dad would sneak out at night and waste a load of money. It scared me to death. I didn't want to interfere but I ended up telling my mother anyway. Though she found out before me she was frighten of what might happen if she made him act up. When she found alchoho under the bed she told me to go to my friend house across from ours. While I was over there my mom upfronted him and just as she imagine he acted up. I would quietly walk through the front door and see broken glass smear with blood everywhere on the floor. My mother would secertly cry behind me as she hugged me from the back while I sleep. But this is all in the past.
