I settled into my room, it was 5:00 pm by then so we went out to lunch.We went to a place very dear to my heart:
Taco bell.
I knew i was gonna regret it later but lets worry about the present.We walked back home since the place wasn't too far.When we knocked on the door,a man stood in front of us,when he saw us he smiled widely .
He had a perfect smile .He was about the same age as my mom, he had salt and pepper hair that made him look more sophisticated.He was wearing shorts and a blue button up shirt.And to top it all off he was wearing flip-flops.This guy was giving off the beachy vibes.
He introduced himself:
"Hey,I'm Isaac,it's about time someone roomed with us ,that lady is not nice."
My mom chuckled
"I've noticed she said shaking hands with Isaac, I'm Eileen."
"Are those your daughters?"
"Yes , actually this is Angelina ,and that's Gwendolyn."
He looked at us and said:
"You have beautiful names"
I thanked him and Gwen just gave him a shy nod.
"Can we come in ?" mom asked
"Yes of course, pardon me"
I smiled, he looked very uncomfortable around my mom.
"I cooked some dinner, if you would like to join me."
"Thank you, but we just ate" my mom said.
10 minutes later we were all in the living room.Mom and Isaac were really hitting it off. Gwen was watching TV and I was sketching.
We were starting school in two days and boy was I nervous.
And let's just say I don't have the best 'fitting in' memories
