Chapter 2- New Beginings

" What are you doing here dad". I asked in disbelief. "Son get out of here,  this monster can not live". "She made my life a living hell".
" What do you mean ".
" She the one, who killed my wife, your mom ".
"What that's a pile of bullshit, Carin would never do that".
" I saw her with these to eyes " he said pointing at her".
"No " something told me to protect her, a force told me to protect her, a unknown force.
"No I won't let you hurt her dad, if you were my dad, you'll understand ".
My arms already up to shield her. Near the cracked window, he pushed me out the way ,taking out a pocket knife. I quickly grabbed him, with his crazed intention, he stabbed me again.
"D..." coughing out blood onto his work suit and he grabbed to whisper in my ear as I fall on the floor.
Zero, zero " I hear Carin say but of no where I hear my father scream and the window break. As I opened my eyes Carin was there. She got me up and I saw broken glass everywhere.
My dear old Foster dad dangling for his life.
" I hate you, you took everything from me since the moment you came, you and your stupid sister, do you hear me Zero". He said
I didn't realize that he was talking to me. My mind grew blank, I wasn't confused nor I didn't  care any more.
" The parent I knew is gone, he was gone a long time ago, the man that's here now is a complete stranger to me, you deserve far worse then death, what you did to Jenna and me. All of it was that really for your wife or was it for this reason fyi I dislike you now more then before".
I raised my foot and kicked his face with intense emotion. He fell off the large building and hit the ground, killing him instantly.
I stepped back holding my face
" did I just really do that " I said to myself.
Carin leaped on me hugging from behind.
" Zero why did you do it, you should have let me, he was after me".
I don't know the reason why I did it, it just felt right the time but that man didn't deserve to live a know that from a fact.
" you wanna know the reason  Carin ". I went down and lifted my leg jeans. Carin was shocked at what she saw. Seeing scars covering my legs.
" what happened Zero " she asked with concern.
"When he's wife died, he changed, started acting weird. Since I was a kid I thought it was nothing but years went by. One day I came home and he was trying to rape Jenna and of course Jenna doesn't remember, she blocked it off from her memory . So I had to stop him and he did these to my legs, everyday since then he would get drunk and abuse us but I told him just to it to me leave her out of this". Each day he would beat me up, he finally stopped when the neighbor saw him and he went to jail but I still knew he hated us inside". I said looking down.
" I can't believe him ". Carin said looking at him then looking down
" you know zero, you were the first ".
" first what?".
"First person who actually cared the first person who didn't care who I was. The first person that stayed by my side when everything was going to hell". "When my parents died and my sister left me, calling me a monster. No body cared rather if I lived or died just because I was from the outside, they treated me like dirt, throwing rocks or saying I didn't belong. I had no idea why I was here, I had no idea what happened to my parents my sister just said that they were died and that it was my fault then she abandoned me in the city. But when I found you everything changed, you saved me".
I was completely speechless and just kept listening to her words.
" which is why I want you to come with me ".
"Wait what go where." Finally saying something.
"Out of here, to the outside". Carin said holding me
"What about Andrew and Jenna ".
"We can take them along, all of us we don't belong here".
I wasn't sure if I wanted to go but seeing her face and my curiousness in seeing the outside made this answer possible
"Ill go with you but we have to take Jenna and Andrew along for the ride". I said smiling.
"What are you talking about,I would never leave them behind, what do you think I am". She said with her eyes close and her hand on her chest.
"  I know your not ".
"Hey you don't have a place to stay anymore right I would like it if you...." she said looking away and blushing.
I couldn't help but smile, " I won't go anywhere I'll stay here with you".
"Come here ". She hugged me with smiling face and my face was blushing bright red being in between her breasts.
I thought to myself
" are these....  I never thought they could be so soft, there like clouds or a very soft pillows it's amazing".
As she went back, I threw a frown
" zero what's wrong ".
My response was the same "nothing " though my real response was different " aww it's over, I want to feel again like I was in heaven and my face was on two big humps of clouds". I began to imagine,
"Zero I have to say this is special being close like this ".
"I know " besides the blood on the floor, the broken window and the death of my father, it has been a great day.
" you wanna get out of here now Carin I feel uncomfortable". I said
"Yea I feel kinda weird like I was reborn somehow". We both got up and walked outside the room. Holding hands and ignoring everyone on the waiting room. Though there shocked faces didn't surprise me as we were covered in blood.
" let's go home Zero ".
"Yeah ".
Just steps between my front door and us, Jenna popped open the door wearing nothing but a towel.
" and where have you been brother, we were worried sick about you".she said poking out her butt and bending back down, making her chest pop out.
"Jenna please..... please put on your clothes "I said
"And who's we " Carin asked confused I say my best friend sitting down waving "hi"
"What the hell is my friend and my sister doing in the same room and she's wearing a towel completely naked.........." .
"Your getting the wrong idea old pal of mine " Andrew said looking the another direction.
" oh and I'm supposed to believe that " I said crossing my arms and making a face.
"Everyone calm down I'll check if did it or not ". Carin said
"No no no I'm one hundred percent virgin plus I would never do it with a cow like him" Jena said covering in between her legs.
"Who you calling a cow Jena" ,he stepped forward on to the table across from Jena.
"You " both had a stare down.
Until a knock on the door caught everyone attention.
I looked outside the window and saw flashing lights colored in blue and red in the street.
"Andrew it's your uncle, the chief, he's here.
"Umm "
Jenna opened the door and the chief came in
"Hey Uncle what's up.
" nothing nothing just here to talk to Zero and Carin there going to be questioned."
"What, for what". Jenna said
The death of your father, we found his body on the floor of the hospital's grounds". He looked at us with no expression.
"Take them away". The cops grabbed us and taking Carin and I to the backseat of the car.
"Were coming too ". Jenna said
"Why don't poke your nose in police business".
" he's my brother, I have to ". The seriousness in her eyes made him change his mind.
"Fine get in the car". Jenna and Andrew went into the car with us and we all drove to the police station. Where they sat me, Carin and Jenna in a room made in metal with one single glass. Andrew, his uncle and some cops were on the outside of it looking at us though the glass. 
" So I hear you and Carin was in the hospital when the murder happen".
I thought to myself I never knew the uncle but I know that my dad and Andrew's uncle were best friends.
" yes I was but I was trying to visit carin and something was bothering me when I did".
I managed to get everyone attention.
"Really like what "Carin whispered.
I kept talking to the uncle, "Why did my dad wanted to get rid of Carin, she's not a monster, you people planned this from the start, you tried to kill a girl who didn't know what she was doing and be OK with it like nothing ever happened because she's an orphan". I said standing up.
A man wearing a blue tux with white hair and a beard lurked from the side of the window.
"She has committed crimes in this city, destroying building and killing your father".
I his my face "my father haha no he's not my dad we we're orphans too. What is a father, Is a father suppose to beat there kids when there drunk. Is a father suppose to do something unjust to there daughter. Is a father was going to kill his son for his dead wife". " that's not a father in my eyes, you know what I call that". Everyone was listening. In despite of what I said I don't regret it.
"I call that scum".
"Really bold statement boy " the man said "it's too bad I that your time here is up". The man pushed a button.
"Mayor I think your going a little overboard". The chief said as gas sprayed into the room.
I kept yelling though the glass while Carin and Jenna tried to squirm away. The had covered the room as I saw Andrew banging at the glass.
"Overboard these children need to learn it's not all fun and games, everyone needs discipline".
Andrew called out our names banging on the gas.
" I have an idea" the old man pointed to Andrew, "throw him along with them.
"What I can't, please reconsider", the uncle bowed.
"Do it " the man put in a ferrous look.
"Man do as he says".
The police men grabbed Andrew and opened the door where the gas covered all of us.
"What the hell uncle,why are you doing this".
"Sorry Andrew but you'll understand"he pushed him inside the gas chamber and left saying " you'll understand everything".
With everyone knocked out and the mad major laughing at us.
Next thing I know, I awake up with everyone in a grassy plane
"Where are we " everyone else woke up in the bright light.
"Zero what happened ". I looked around and saw a giant glass dome in the distance.
"Is that the city " Andrew asked
"What the hell they kicked us out."
Jenna said
"I guess but we finally made it Zero to the outside where mother didn't want us to go ".
"Yea but it's a huge pile of nothing".
my heart begin to beat faster.
"But somehow I feel different like my body feels like metal ". Jenna said
"I know what you mean my body feels like it's.... "
"Andrew! Your on fire. " Carin yelled
He realized and screamed, he started to freak out and pat himself everywhere.
"Some one get water " Jenna helped or tried  patted him but one pat from Jenna making Andrew fell on ground hard cracking the floor.
"You didn't have to hit me" he said sobbing.
" I barely even touched you " Jenna said in shock.
Carin stared at me
"Zero what's wrong ".
"My heart was beating to fast that all".
I hold my head and looked at her. "Zero your eyes"
"Whats up "
"There red like mine are ".
" They are"? Out from nowhere my head started ringing and black things were coming out from my body.
"What's happening". Andrew and Jenna ran to me and watched.
As I yelled into the sky and the darkness flowed into the air. My mind was playing games again.  Voices inside me, talking to me " density and fate will be your making  ". I yelled out who are you. The voices disappeared and I hold my head to . Little to know what was in this world and what it had in store for us.
"Zero"
hearing Carin's voice make everything worth wild to me.
"Brother are you OK ". Jenna said
Yea come on let's go the opposite direction there's no place for us that way ".
We walked for miles in the never ending grasslands, seeing the stars roll by as the day passes.
When we slept on the cold wet grass I saw Carin walk astray. I wondered where was she going so I followed her into the forest. She stopped at a near  by lake, I was just  memorized by her beauty in the moonlight glow. Looking at herself in the water, I saw a tear hit the water.
I couldn't just leave her be.
"Carin " I said while walking next to her.
She didn't look at me when I called her name.
"Whats a matter ".
She pushed me down with her on top of me and leaned into my ear
Her first words to me was " I wonder how you taste like".
With glowing red eyes and every intention to bite, I felt the hot breath of her on my neck but when,
She realized what she was doing she  stopped. Quickly getting up and she kept apologizing for everything that happen. Personality I was shocked but didn't say a words until tears started to hit the ground.
" you know Carin, I wouldn't care if you we're a monster or if my dad was right and I don't think the others care either. It wasn't your fault that we got kicked out, I know you had nothing to with it. I patted her head and she looked at me with glowing big eyes.
"How could that cutie face hurt anyone". Her face went from  dazed to puffer face.
" I'll hurt you " she said
We started laughing and she gave me an unexpected hug.
"Thank you " she said to me. I couldn't help but get embarrassed and blush.
"No problem" I said looking the other direction and smiling.
The next day rolled by and finding me next to Andrew cuddling.
"Ahh "I moved away and the girls  were watching us.
" you saw nothing".
" man the bad thing is I didn't have a camera to black mail I mean take a picture". Jenna said
"Like you would black mail". I said
" who says I can't " Jenna replied with a smile.
A traveler went by and looked at us  within her carriage.
"You young-lings are heading to town right".
"Yeah we are" Jenna said
" you could hope in my carriage, I  have an inn you could stay at just for the night".
"Yeah sure " we said as we all hopped in the carriage and said thank you.
" you all came from the city I presume". I noticed that we're wearing totally different clothes like our clothes was like from the distant future. I also wondered where are all the cars and why is she using a horses to move.
" the city and the outside are different like there from different time lines ".
"Good eye my dear ".
"Why is that " Carin asked
"Well in the beginning there was all of us living in the same land but when the discovery of zoin a metal that takes away magic power. People started an uproar, building cities and other contraptions. Some people grew tired living on the outside so they choose to live in the cities protected by the giant glass dome. " she answered.
"I see the metal in the city was to  take our abilities away". Jenna said with a finger on her chin.
"So our powers came when we made it out so that means everyone has powers like us".
Yes and no darlings the power is called magic and no not everyone has it and not everyone uses it. Those who do has are called what they are do to their occupation. For what ever the job, it could be a bread maker to an assassin it all depends on how you use it.
"Ohhh so we're like wizards in training great first a high school students to now a mage". Andrew said
"Are you complaining" I said looking forward.
"Not at all at least these no homework ".
" I'm not sure wizarding can be a tough job, ohhh here we are" the lady  said.
"Welcome to the town Jore".
"Wooow " Jena said happily.
"All the different old shops, I taught didn't exist anymore" Andrew said.
"I should also mention the country your in"." See there's 8 major kingdoms in this country, your in the kingdom called Pagonia and our neighboring kingdom is Cagi just over those mountains and Hamlar just south of here. Then you have Tarzonnia, Layor,  Flane , Zon,  and Brizstandnia. These 8 make the land, any questions.
"Yea just one, where do we train to get stronger" I said.
"Cool so eight kingdoms make one country".
"Correct and you guys wanna get stronger using your new founding powers, my husband lives on that mountain at the very top, he could teach you a thing or two" She said. 
"We should stay zero for the night at her inn first and then go to the mountain " Carin said.
"I know " I expressed a smile.
I couldn't help but think and wonder that it was like this on the outside. That night in the inn was to welcome us here in this world. After dinner everyone went straight to bed but me and the old lady. I was helping clean up.
"I'm sorry but I didn't get your name miss.... "
"Just call me Anna "
