I sit there silently. Awaiting my final order for work from my mother. She paces around the room with her wine glass in hand, taking a sip every five seconds.

"I have a lot more things for you to do." She finally says.

"Um what? I thought this was my final chore?" I question.

"No. This is the first of many before I ship you off." She laughs.

"Ship me off?" I ask.

She starts to laugh really loud, sending cold shivers down my spine.

"SHIP ME OFF?" I say once more, a little louder this time though.

She looks toward me with shock. "Excuse...me." She says as she bites her tongue.

I look down to my toes, I know I'm getting a beating now. I slowly start to flinch as she comes at me quickly. She grabbed onto my jaw and got up in my face. "I'm shipping you off early. Pack your things, your out in an hour." She grins.

She pushes off and pushes me away from the chair. "GO! That's an order!" I hear her say as I run up the stairs.

The attic gets extremely cold at night, so by the time I got up the stairs. The attic was freezing! As I ran into my room, I could see my breath.

I flopped onto my bed in tears. "My own mother!" I loudly whisper to myself.

I grab my old suitcase. Which was brown and the two tiny pocket zippers were broken. So I only had one pouch that could only hold a little bit of my valuables and clothes. For clothes...I couldn't even fit half.

I started to pack my favourite clothes. Two blue hoodies, Four long sleeve shirts, and Five pairs of skinny black and blue jeans. I'm wearing my black boots and I pack my blue sneakers in with my clothing and valuables.

I put on my black, raggedy, winter coat and hold my suitcase.

I then sit on my bed and await my mother to call me downstairs. I wonder where she is sending me, hopefully she's putting me up for adoption. Any foster home is better then this house.

I feel the bed covers and lay my head on my pillows. I look around the room and see so many pictures of my old pets, friends, graduations, everything. I have pictures of my dad, but they are all packed away in my bag. I don't guarantee that I'm going to miss this place. The only things that I'm going to miss are the memories when everything was great. My dad was still alive and my mom wasn't such a psychopathic alcoholic.

"Kathy! Get your ass down here now! Company is awaiting your presence!" I hear.

She's trying to sound like a good parent. "Yippy.." I say as I leave my bedroom.

I enter the living room with a straight face. Not looking intimidating but looking good enough to protect myself from whoever this person was.

"Hello...Darling!" My mother giggles.

She holds out her hand and grins. I walk passed the hand and stand in front of her, and there before me was a tall man. He looked about my age which was frightening. "Hi there." He said.

I looked at him and rolled my eyes. Great, my mom is selling me as a sex object isn't she. He holds out his arm as if he was telling me to join him. I stand still, staying cautioned.

He continues to hold out his arm and I try to back up until my mother pushes me into him. His arm wraps around my neck and he drags me along as we walk. I struggle to get out of his grip until he picks me up and throws me over his shoulder. "Let go...of me!" I struggle.

He just continues to walk. Without even listening to me. He wouldn't even let me go until we reached his pick up truck. He buckles me in and slams the door on my side. I look out the window to see my worried neighbours staring at me. My best friend and her mother exit their house and start negotiating whether or not they should save me, but they were to late. This man started the truck and rolled up the window.

My best friend stared me with tears in her eyes. He mother cried as well and tried to stop the truck before we could leave the block. Though it was no use, this guy would not stop. Even if that meant running over my neighbours.

**************Mystery Highway***************

We've been driving in long lasting country side for hours. Every now and then I could see the red barns and the smell of cattle. All I knew was that I was way far from my city and my friends.

"Where are we going." I finally said.

All he did was laugh. "Come on! I know where we are." I added.

He looked at me and smiled. "Hey can you reach in the back and grab a black clean cloth?" He smiled.

For a second I thought he was actually being nice, but when I grabbed the cloth. Those thoughts changed majorly.

He pulled over and moved me to where my back faced him. "What are you doing...?" I said.

He didn't answer, all he did was cover my eyes tightly with the black cloth. At least it was clean, but I did not like how I couldn't see where we were going.

I could feel multiple bumps as he drove. I could tell which were the dirt road and which were the highways. But at one point I had no idea what we were on. It seemed soft but extremely hill like. Then I started to hear a sound like branches hitting the windshield. "Where are we...?" I asked.

"You'll see in five minutes." The man said.

Now I was starting to get scared. Where was this guy taking me?
