Escape

Chapter 1

Chandra awoke to the sound of her phone's alarm ringing. Slowly, she opened her eyes and sat up. Looking at her phone, she saw that the time was six-fifteen. "It was good while it lasted" she said, yawning afterward.

After Chandra had gotten through her morning routine, she went out into her yard to wait for her bus. It was a chilly morning, but not too cold.

"I wonder if I remembered to bring my binder" Chandra began talking to herself as she often did. Looking through her bag, she found a picture of herself, along with her family. It was a picture of their summer camping trip. It had gone great until a bear decided to try and get into their cabin, requiring her dad to move one of the beds in front of the door, as well as himself.

Chandra zipped up her bag and continued to wait. She then noticed the car. It had passed her street three times in the last ten minutes. Chandra didn't remember seeing it in her neighborhood before, and she was becoming suspicious of it.

"Come on Chandra. Your just being paranoid" she said to herself. To her left, she could see the bus coming. Once it stopped, Chandra got on, and continued on to school.
