Andy P.o.v

I looked out my room to see the rain was coming down. It was a normal winter to say here in London nothing has changed since I left. Ten years is a long time. A knock at my door made me look at it.

"Come in." I said then saw my adoptive mother --Claire- come into my room smiling. She closed my room door then coughed. Claire is actually my aunt but since she has raised me it doesn't really matter anymore.

"Hey dear you all unpacked." I sighed then looked at my bedroom to see my bed was made up in its white cover up. The book shelves were packed up with CDs or pictures of my past and I. Claire then went to fix the small couch I have in my room. I was sitting on the window seat looking at the rain come down heavier now.

"Claire?" She hummed but I knew she didn't mind me asking.

"Why didn't my mother and father want me?" She stopped then looked at me holding up my white coat. She came over and messed with my brown curly hair that the curls have just developed on me.

"I will tell you soon dear. Very soon just wait a little longer." I knew that my eighteen birthday was coming up in February and I couldn't help but be excited. It was now the beginning of December. It was cold. Rainy. Gloomy. Snowing. All I want to do was go outside and sit under the tree and read a book. I will not lie I am a nerd. Claire is very happy about that. When someone will ask Claire about me and school she can't help but to smile.

We moved back to London after she got transferred back here due to work. Claire is in the medical field. Surgeon to be correct. When I had just turned eight we left this place and went to America. I lived there with her in a huge two story house that makes our new home look like a pea. I wish sometimes I looked like Claire because she has these honey coat eyes that I knew that I would love to have with my brown hair.

"I have an idea." I looked over to her too see her stand up from my desk chair.

"How about we go get some coffee and just relax." Claire is a caffeine freak! I could care less for it but hot coco is always down my lane. I loved how it has this sweet taste that just makes your throat clear up.

"Sure that sounds wonderful." I got up looking as she walked out my room probably to hers down the hallway. Claire isn't married. She has had boyfriends but they always break her heart. She instead vowed to herself to save her heart from heartbreak and just raise me. Which I think is ridiculous but who am I to say I am after all just a kid. I grabbed my brown hoodie then put my nerd glasses to make my light green eyes burst. My eyes are funny because one day they can be light the next, they will be dark green. Claire always tells me how lucky I am for this gift but me on the other hand rather thinks this gift its annoying at time. I grabbed my phone and notebook.

"Andy come on!" Claire yelled as I ran out my room grabbing my side bag. It was nice fitting my outfit. My skinny kick AE pants were showing off my legs that were okay? My brown floral hoodie made it just pop. I slid down the railing then jumped off at the bottom. Claire was shaking her head as I laughed.

"I still don't see how you always land perfectly. I fall right on my bum." I dusted off my shoulders then we just laugh together. We got into her new Fiat that was nice for the two of us then I put my guitar in the back. We drove out the drive way slowly. I amped up the radio, "It's Gotta Be yooouuuu." I singed with the guy on the radio. When the song was done we were at the little Cafe. Claire looked at me then smiled.

"What?" I said confused because I was truthfully.

"I don't see why you won't use your voice." It always comes to this talk. I already know the speech heard it so many times before. It's the same over and over. Here it comes.
