He confesses

(y/n) was just walking to class when something, more like someone, glopped you, making you fall to the ground. You looked up to a hand reaching out, and it was Nagisa's. "Nagi! You made me fall!" (Y/n) took his hand and lifted yourself up. You and The skinny blond headed kid had developed a friendly relationship, although over the last few months you wanted it to be more. "So! Wanna walk to class together?" Said Nagisa excitedly. Without an answer, he linked his arm in (y/n)'s, and started skipping away. At first it startled you, and you could even feel a blush creeping up your face. But (y/n) tried to hide it as you was being dragged to class.

As (y/n) was packing up to go to lunch, you found a note on your locker.

Meet me by the pool

Ok, you thought. It must be Nagisa or one of the other itawobi swim club members. You grabbed your lunch and started towards the pool.

When you got there, you saw the sparkling, clear pool. You knew why Haru liked it so much, you could be in reality one moment, then the next be in a big cube of peacefulness, surrounded by silence. You felt as if you could jump in the pool right now. A voice brought (y/n) back to consciousness. "(y/n)-chan! I'm glad you could make it!" Said the one and only Nagisa. "Would you like to have lunch with me by this beautiful pool side?" He joked. Two can play that game. "Yes, I would like that very much. Where's the champagne?" You shot back. He chuckled. "We aren't old enough to have that, remember? Speaking of getting older and the future..." He said that last part so softly that it was almost a whisper.

As the lunch with Nagisa played on, he seemed to get more awkward. First it started with the comment, then the nervous laugh, now the rubbing of the neck! You knew that something was wrong. "Nagi? What's wrong? I know when you do that something's up. Anything you'd like to talk about?" "N-no. Nothing wrong. W-why would you think that?" He retorted. You replied, "well, you had that nervous laugh, then you were just rubbing your neck. Those are all signs of uncomfortableness. Am I doing something to make you feel like that?" He perked up. "No, of course not! It's just... A relationship problem." You were a little disappointed when you heard that. But you were glad that your best friend could finally stop using the term 'I'm as single as a pringle (Percy Jackson anyone??)! "Who is it!? What's your friendship status with them and what's their current status?!" You wanted to know everything! He was starting to get less nervous. "Whoah! Slow down! We are really good friends, but I don't want to take the risk of ruining our relationship. She is single." He informed. Hmmm, this girl was tricky. And besides, as far as (y/n) knew, were his only close friend who wasn't on the itawobi swim club. "Do you know what she likes?" (Y/n) asked. He started playing with his fingers. "N-not really. That's what I need your help on. I think you'd be the best to ask. Considering your that girl..." That last part was so shallow that even he himself could not hear it. (Hehe trolololol) (y/n) thought for a moment. "Well, if I were that girl, I would like something simple. Like maybe a picnic, the confess your feelings for her then?" You suggested. "Hey, you never told me who it-" Nagisa jumped up. "Thanks, (y/n)-chan! I knew I could count on you!" In moments, he was only a speck in the hills. Hmm, weird. (y/n) thought to herself. You realized that you would be late for your next class and quickly gathered your belongings.

It was the day after Nagisa's relationship advice confrontation, and you were feeling much better. You decided to go outside, and, as it was a Saturday, and you were off of school. (Y/n) took a hot (and much needed) bath, got dressed in a simple flowing dress, then walked towards her the front door. Right when you opened it, (y/n) was surprised to see a about-to-knock Nagisa. "Hi,(y/n)-chan!" He said, embracing you in a bear hug. "I hope you don't have plans today, because we're going on a picnic!" He continued, holding up a basket. You looked around. "Where are the others?" You asked. Nagisa rapped his arm around your shoulders. "Just me and you!" He replied. "O-ok." You said, slowly walking with him. You were ok with it, but you were a little shocked. I thought that he was going to do this with his crush...?

You were really enjoying your time with Nagisa, laughing and joking without a care in the world. But then you remembered that you were not Nagisa's crush, and there was nothing you could do about it. It was like getting out of the pool, where everything was perfect, to reality. Drying off, looking back and wishing that you could go back in it once more. Better yet, be part of it. " So, (y/n)-chan, riddle me this. Why did the cat go to Minnesota?" Nagisa questioned. "Hmm, this one is hard!" You joked. "To get a mini soda!" Nagisa exclaimed. His jokes were the corniest, but also made him look cute. You became suddenly quite. "Is something wrong?" He asked. "No, it's just... You never told me who it was that you liked." You replied. But, to make it not an awkward situation, you added, "Do you think they'll like it?" He looked up into the clear sky. "I don't know, do you like it?" You were confused. "Y-yes, I like it very much. But why are you asking me? Shouldn't you be asking her?" You asked. He suddenly looked very serious, a unlikely face for him. He took your hand. "(Y/n), you are and have always been that girl. Since the beginning. Ever since I laid eyes on you I knew it."

 He leaned in. He was about to kiss you! Your warm lips met. It was full of passion, like he's been waiting for this moment. At first you were shocked, but then you started to kiss back. He finally broke the kiss, gasping for air. "It was a dare." He said. Wait, what?! "Wha-what do you mean?! I actually thought-" you were interrupted by laughing. You were getting angry now. "Why are you laughing?" He was rolling on the ground by now. "You...you really thought that I would do that to you?" He said. You didn't know how to feel. But you couldn't stay mad at him, as he was now rolling down the hill. You started chasing after him. Ahh, there's that feeling. You weren't there anymore, drowned with happiness. You were back in the pool.
