Emily flopped on the couch in her apartment, and turned the TV on. Just as she did, the phone beside her buzzed. She picked it up, reading the message.

Jackson ❤️: Hey hon. You see the news yet?

She knit her eyebrows, but smiled slightly. Jackson was her boyfriend of almost a year. Like one of her hit songs, he was a rockstar. And he was in the #1 hit stage.

Me: No. Why? What's on?

Jackson ❤️: Oh, nothing. Never mind. Forget I said anything.

Emily narrowed her eyes at the screen.

Jackson ❤️: I love you.

Emily glanced up at the TV, and changed it to E! News. The hosts were laughing at something she had just missed.

"Well then, you don't see that every day! Onto other interesting news; hit rockstar, Jackson "Jax" Bush spotted outside a local Starbucks with a rather attractive young lady!" The hostess stated, and then the camera went to a black and white video tape. Jackson and another girl were outside a Starbucks, appearing to be laughing. The girl had long dark hair, and was very pretty. Jackson had his black hair slicked back, with his sunglasses on. He suddenly leaned forward, and caressed the other girl's cheek. Emily felt tears rushing to her eyes as her boyfriend leaned forward, kissing the other girl. Then, the camera went back to the E! News hosts.

"Well, isn't that sweet?" The woman said, smiling.

"Wait a minute, isn't Jax dating former Walking Dead star, Emily Kinney?" The guy pointed out. Emily's tears started falling.

"Oh yeah. That's right." The lady said, a look of sadness on her face. Emily quickly shut the TV off, just as her phone buzzed.

Jackson ❤️: Baby? You still there?

Emily angrily grabbed the phone, punching the buttons.

Me: HOW??? HOW COULD YOU?!?!

Jackson ❤️: Emily, you know those E! News guys like spreading rumors. It was nothing, I swear!

Me: Oh, of course I believe that.

Jackson ❤️: Baby your the only one I love!

Me: You're* don't talk to me ever again.

Emily dropped her phone onto the floor, curling up on the couch. The tears soaked into her sweat pants, while her thin blonde hair fell to cover her face.

While she was sobbing, her phone began ringing. Her eyes blurry with tears and anger surging through her, she didn't check the caller ID.

"I told you not to fucking call me anymore!" She screamed into the phone.

"Em?" She recognized her friend and old co-worker, Norman.

"Norman? I'm so sorry! That wasn't meant for you!" She exclaimed, covering her mouth in horror. She sniffed a little, wiping her eyes on an oversized grey sweater. Jackson's, oversized grey sweater.

"It's ok. Are you ok Emily?" Norman asked. Emily sniffed again.

"Yeah. What's up?" She asked, trying to brush things off.

"I was wondering if you'd like to catch up over lunch. Are you ok?

"Yeah. Totally." She lied.

"I'll be over in ten minutes." Norman declared, hanging up before Emily could protest. She hung up afterwards, going into her room. She knew there was no stopping Norman, so she may as well make herself presentable.
