The sky would be blue and every sunset the clouds would transform into tiny marshmallows that even the highest of mountains would never reach. If you were lucky enough, the marshmallows will fall from the sky and soon the sunset will sound like a choir of beautiful voices as it comes to hide under the horizon.
"Ok, that's enough daydreaming alright?" Dad said, tucking me in with my covers. "Goodnight daddy" I said softly, my little, warm lips touching his cheek. Dad shut off my lamp and the whole room became silent and dark. I closed my eyes. He shut the door.

Mum was waving to me. Sweat was running down my face as my legs ran across the field. Victoria Seedlings, a girl with blonde, wavy hair, crystal blue eyes and perfect white teeth, so white that you can see your reflection, was running past me. She wore her pink shirt and her silver skirt. Her hair was covering my face. Cindy Williamson, my best friend, was behind me, Liam Walker right in front of her.

Victoria came running as fast as she could, then Penelope ran after her. I lost concentration when I saw an entrance to the library at school. Behind all the trees it looked mysterious. I slowed down. Then Liam ran and Cindy was running ahead of me, two metres away. James Johnson pushed past. I was sixth out of ten people.

Dad walked up to mum, smiling. Mum was cheering. After James pushed me, I woke from my daydreams-again.

"Now everybody knows that Victoria Seedlings won" Mr Coel, the sports teacher, began, "and Penelope became second. It's time to hand out the medals and awards!"

Cindy looked at me. Then she looked at Victoria, her eyes seeming as if she were scanning the crowd. Penelope, however, was moving her legs at the same spot. She was dragging her foot along the concrete restlessly. I grinned. Cindy then whispered to me, "Hey, that's what you do!" Then I quickly shut up.

Having friends at Catherensinton Public School wasn't very easy. Most of the kids were suck-ups and show-offs. Many other schools say that this Public School has a very good reputation. I think that that may be true and sometimes I think that that is false.

As I came home from school, after another tiring day, my dad was watching sport and my mum was cooking dinner. "How's school?" Dad asked. "Good". "Good? You came sixth in the Catherensinton Public School racing competition! Year four out of Year five! Aren't you proud!?" "I was chosen. Mr Coel wrote every Year four and five's names on ripped bits of paper and my name got shot out". Mum was stirring the spoon around the inside of the pot.

After dinner, I was in my bedroom, the same lamp that I got when I was three was on. I closed my eyes after I shut off the lamp.

The wind was blowing through the window.
