"Sang, wake up!" Someone shook me violently. My eyes opened, and I sat up, panicked.

"What's going on? Nathan?"

He glanced at the door, and then back at me.

"We have to hurry!"

I was tangled in the blankets, and rushed to climb free. I could still feel the sleepiness, even with the panic racing through my blood.

Nathan grabbed my hand and pulled me onto the roof. The cold winter air chilled my bones as I ran across the roof tiles barefoot.

Nathan stopped suddenly, and I crashed into his back. "Do you trust me?"

I nodded. "Always."

He clenched his teeth together and jumped to the ground. Snow shifted under his tennis shoes. That's when i realized he was wearing all black, in long sleeves and pants. I, myself, was barefoot, in shorts and a tank top, shivering.

"Jump." his lips read.

I breathed in and leaped down to him.

I crashed into him, and Nathan caught me with ease, spinning me around. He quickly slung me over his shoulders, and began running.

I could see our breath as he sprinted away.

What was going on?

I thought he was going to run to his house, or even Kota's, but he ran straight passed that and entered the forest.

"Nathan?"

"Shh," he panted, not slowing down. "It'll be okay, I promise peanut."

I could hear his worried tone. I held on tighter, and pressed my cheek into his shoulder as he twisted through the twisting paths covered in snow.

Panic filled my heart as he ran.

Weren't we always running?

He stopped after I fully froze. I lifted my head to see Sean standing in a small clearing with Luke, both holding a serious expression on their faces. My heart sunk.

Nathan passed me into Luke's arms. He tried to grin at me, but it quickly fell.

Nathan shared a look with the two of them before placing a hand on my face. He turned with a pained expression, and disappeared in the trees.

Luke swung me onto his back and Sean laid a coat over my shoulders as I wrapped my arms and legs around Luke.

"Will someone tell me what's going on?" I whispered. My bones sagged with exhaustion.

Sean smiled softly, one that didn't reach his eyes, and he tightened the coat to guarantee it wouldn't slip.

"Don't worry, Pookie. Just close your eyes for a while."

I listened to his soft words, and let my tiredness take over.

I'll let myself rest for now, and focus tomorrow.
