Emma POV:

*BEEB BEEB BEEB*

"Emmaaaaaa wake up time to get ready for your first day back to school" mom screamed all the way from downstairs. Guess some things never change!

Today is the first day for me to get back to my old school after spending the last 3 years in Alaska. Can't wait to see my old friends, they knew I came back 2 days ago and wanted to swing by and see how I have been. But every time they said they were coming I make up an excuse, I didn't want them to see me, well...the real me! I had this plan that I made sure my parents stick to it. My plan was to dress up like the old geeky me, since the people in this town never saw the real new me, even my own best friends!!!

I decided to do that as to which the people back in Alaska never showed me their true colors. They kept sucking up to me and played nice and all that. Even the boys, all they wanted to do was get in my pants. That is why I went through all the trouble of dressing up the way I used to, just to see people in their true colors.

As I got out of bed and went to the bathroom, I smelled the sweet smell of my mom's famous pancakes. Guess mom went over board of making today the best day, cause she knew people would bug me as they used to do 3 years ago. I know that they will bug me, cause I really don't think people would change personalities, looks maybe, but never personalities.

I spent an hour in the bathroom showering and putting on makeup, or more likely fake dimples. When I got out of the bathroom looking slightly like the old me, I went to the closet where I had all of my old style clothes. Behind that rack of old clothes, their was a hidden closet were it contained all the new nice clothes. I couldn't risk to show off my new clothes if one of my best friends went inside my closet. I wanted to know if they will stick by me even if I looked this awful.

After getting dressed up, I wore my old glasses instead of wearing lenses and went downstairs for breakfast. All I had was like about 15 min to eat till my best friends Hannah and Emily came to pick me up for school. I was so nervous to see them, they are like my sisters as I am a lonely child. This would be our reunion for the first time in three years, I can't wait till I see them!

As I finished my breakfast I heard the doorbell ring. I went straight up to the door to see them. As I opened the door all of us screamed and hugged each other, which is maybe the most intense moment of my life.

This might seem weird but let me introduce my friends to you. Hannah Miller is this crazy blonde with gorgeous blue eyes. She is the party animal who loves to party but doesn't show it. She is a drama queen as she loves to act ever since the age of five. Emily Parker is the exact opposite. She is the girl next door who is quite, concentrates on her studies and focuses on her future. We all met on the first day of nursery when we were four, and ever since then we were inseparable, up until I moved to Alaska. When I went to Alaska, we talked and texted for the first year but stopped since we couldn't do anything, that is why they didn't know I really looked. Anyways back to the present.

"Emma we missed you, don't you ever do this to us again" shouted Hannah at me.

"Yea, Hannah is right. Moving to Alaska didn't mean you should stop texting us! It felt like you disappeared from the planet!" Said Emily practically screaming in my ear.

"Guys, I missed you too. But as you can see, the only thing that changed about me was that I took my braces off nothing else." I sighed. I love these guys and all, but sometimes they just over exaggerate things.

"Well yea, but still! For all we know you might as well be dead!!!" shouted Emily again.

"You know what Emma we are now late for school, so lets get going" pointed Hannah.
