Chapter 1//throwback

As usual, it was 5am in the morning and Mino was already up knocking on my window and it woke me up. Everyone thinks that I wake up flawlessly but I dont, I move alot when I sleep so the friction makes my hair frizzy and It takes me 10 minutes to remove the frizziness from my hair away.

"You done?"said Mino and he knocked on my window in a faster rate.

"In a sec!"I hissed while rubbing a dryer sheet to my hair, they say it eliminated your frizziness and leaves your hair smelling like a fresh laundry.

"I don-"Mino replied but I cut him off.

"Okay what's up?"I said while sipping into my hot milktea.

"My mom wants me to wear this shirt for my uncle's wedding tonight, what do I do?"Mino said lifting an absurd shirt with a disgusted face. It was beige shirt with a bunny peeping out of the pocket and Mino is 15 who still wear those?

"Then don't wear it, show up to the wedding without that shirt on what can she do? Make you run back home just to change?"

"But she's driving me to the party so you know"

"Bring a tomato juice with you and an extra shirt you would actually like to wear in the car drink the juice when you're mom is driving in the bumpy road and the juice will naturally spill to your shirt and then you have to change to another shirt" I felt pretty smart coming up with such idea.

"Nice plan, I'll tell you how it went tomorrow" Mino said with a huge grin on his face and closed his window. We are neighbours, and the house in this block is very close to eachother so we can just talk through the window.

23rd of December 2012 - The day that I do not want to remember.

It was 11pm and I was waiting for Mino to be home, I wanted to listen on how my plan worked.

"Where the hell is Mino, he's suppose to be home at 8pm"I talked to myself, I reached to my phone and tried calling Mino.

"Hello this is GC Emergency room how can I help you?"

"Emergency room? Mino stop playing pranks on me"

"Excuse me?" I immediately noticed that It was a woman's voice

"Uhh who is this?"

"This is the receptionist for GC Emergency room how can I help you?"

"Isn't this number suppose to be Mino's, why am I connected to an emergency room"

"Mino Qiu got into a car accident, witnesses saw the car getting crashed by a car, it was a hit and run situation. Please come here to check on Mino, he doesn't have much time left" I hung up right away, I rushed to call a taxi to get me to GC hospital as fast as possible.

"Where are you headed?" The taxi driver asked.

"GC hospital, drop me at the emergency room"I said, I'm not the type of person who cares alot but this is Mino, he is not just anyone. The taxi driver drove to GC hospital through the highway.

He is dying -11.11pm

"Who's this"I questioned

Message: who are you? -11.12pm [Read]

"What the hell, that person only red it? But what's up with 'he's dying'?" I talked to myself

-in the emergency room-

"Mino! Mino! Where is he"I cried

"I'm sorry Ms but you cant come in,you need a permission form-"A nurse said

"I have a permission! So if you just move away and let me see my friend i would be really thankful"

"No you can't come in"

"Just let her in, Mino is in room 3"someone sobbed, she sounded familiar, her face was covered in bandaid.

"Thank you"I rushed to Room 3 to look for Mino

"Bay? Is that you"Mino said hoarsely

"Oh my god! What happened to you? Are you okay?"

"I'm okay but I don't have any much time left"

"How did you get into a crash?" I noticed that he was still wearing his beige shirt stained with tomato juice.

"My mom tried wiping my shirt with wet wipes hoping that the tomato juice stain will go away I said that I brought another extra shirt but she did not want to listen, she kept on wiping it and then a green truck crashed on us. That was everything that i remembered before I passed out." Mino said, his eyes sparkled he was definitely scared.

"It's my fault then"I said feeling guilty, "If i didnt give you that stupid idea"

"It's no one's fault, god called me tonight"

"Stop making me cry"I sobbed, my tears could not be controlled.

"There are cases in life you can't dodge and this is one of mine I guess" Mino smiled looking up the ceiling.

"What do i do after you're gone?"

"Don't act like it's my last day here"

"But the nurse said-"

"I know, just think positively, my skull's cracked and I have internal bleeding but the good news is-"

"There is no good news"

"Everything seems different if you look at it from a different point of view, I'm sure Mina would love to meet me up there"

"Mina? You twin that passed away when she was 6?"

"Yeah, she left a big scar on my wrist whenever I look at it I just smile"Mino's voice became more hoarse, He looked at his wrist where there is a small scar and he smiled.

"What happened to her? You don't really talk about her that much" I said, Mino comforted me once again and probably for the last time and he was dying but still managed to do so.

"My grandma and her loved to bake so she went all the way to Japan to bake with my grandma during summer break but there was a sudden technical difficulty in the plane, so the plane landed to the water and she was not able to sw-"

"What's wrong?" I panicked, his face became more pale and his teeth gritted.

"I do- dont kn- kow, I thin-k th-is is it"Mino stammered

"No please, don't leave me"

"Never thought dying would feel this way"

"No please"I cried uncontrollably.

"This is better than I expected"Mino still managed to smile and he grabbed my shivering, cold hand.

"Someone! Help him!"I cried, I tried letting go and then call for help but he wouldn't let me.

"My friend, see you in another life and don't give up"Mino said, managing to finish his sentence and that was it.

"I will, I will never give up"I cried kneeling. I never thought his life would end like this, I felt dying inside. Our friendship will last forever.

"What happened?!" The doctor came to late. I let go my hand and went out.

I will never give up, thank you Mino for your cheesy advices and for comforting me. I don't have any goal but my goal is to meet someone just like you, I'm sure it would be impossible but just someone that ressembles you. Thanks alot.
