Hey guys! Sorry it takes me so long to update this story as often as RM. I always have massive writer's block with this story after each chapter. I know where I want the story to go, I don't know how to get there. Writing Rock Me is much easier and natural to me, that's why that story generally has longer chapters. I can guarantee that Rock Me is going to have many more chapters compared to this one. This story is coming close to a close, but there are definitely 5 chapters or so left.
Anyways, on with Still the One.
"I told you, we can't!" I say.
"Why not? This is what got us in trouble last time," Niall says tiredly.
"You'll lose your job! I can't do that to you, not when the band is doing so well," I explain.
"That doesn't matter anymore! I don't want to hide our relationship, last time we did it ended badly! I want the world to know you're mine, that we had two adorable daughters together," he explains, wrapping his arms around me.
I sigh, he's getting to me and he knows it.
"But how would we tell everyone without you getting fired?" I ask him.
"You have to do it. You have to stand up to your dad. Tell him it doesn't matter anymore, that you want what's best for Charlie and Eloise. Say something to convince him to get rid of that part of the contract! For the four of us. Don't you finally want to be a family?" he says.
"Okay, I will; I promise! I'll tell my Dad about us when I see him," I tell Niall.
"Good," he pecks my lips.
"Oh crap, I forgot! Today is the girls' birthday!" I say, smacking my forehead with my hand. "I can't believe I forgot!"
I run off to the girls' room, Niall slowly following behind me.
The girls are still asleep, which is good.
I close the door to their room, bringing one finger up to my lips. Niall nods in understandment and I go over to the kitchen to make them breakfast.
What I've decided I'm going to do for the girls' birthday every year is make them Minnie Mouse pancakes with strawberries, whipped cream and syrup. Last year when I made them pancakes, Charlie and Eloise didn't fully understand what pancakes were.
When I finish making pancakes for the four of us, I go to wake up the girls. I open their door to find them still sound asleep.
I walk over to Charlie's crib and pick her up, Niall following suit with Eloise. Charlie rests her head on my shoulder, and holds onto me with her legs and arms wrapped around me.
"Time to get up, babe," I say to her, tapping on her back. "Happy Birthday, Charlie!" She lifts up her head when I start talking to her, trying to coax her awake.
"Mummy?" Charlie asks me.
"Yes?" I respond.
"Still sleepy," she says, dropping her forehead back onto my shoulder. I laugh lightly, then continue to walk out of the room.
I set Charlie in her high chair next to Eloise, then hand them both their pancakes. They start to eat their pancakes, big grins on their faces and syrup and whipped cream smothered in their hair.
I turn to look at Niall, only for him to wipe some of the cream onto my face.
I glare at him, and he laughs at me.
"That's not funny," I glare at him. I take some of the cream from him and throw it on his hair. It turns into a miniature food fight, until we run out of whipped cream and syrup.
