A happy girl.

A new school.

New friends.

Isn't cool.

Becomes scared.

Becomes bullied.

But thinks not one person cares,

so she doesn't say anything.

She thinks and thinks,

about what she might do.

She comes up with a plan,

she was smart, who knew?

Every night when shes alone,

she sits in her room,

blade in her hand, with nothing to do.

She takes the blade to her wrist,

and with one stroke,

cuts her wrist open,

it makes her choke.

She's in total pain,

but no one sees,

so she goes back to school with extremely long sleeves.

She acts like nothing happened,

she acts like nothing is wrong,

but that day she was bullied,

and everyday she was bullied,

she got caught in the middle and couldn't find a way out.

Everyday at school,

she would come with a smile.

No one suspected anything, at least not for a while.

Each day when she went home,

she would go online and cry.

Yet, still, no one wondered why?

Night after night,

she would take the blade in her hand,

she would slice her wrist, again and again.

She would yelp out in pain,

but no one would hear,

she would even let out tear after tear.

Her wrist would bleed,

she would fall to the floor,

until someone knocked on her bedroom door.

-Scarlett Emberton

“cutting your wrists is so stupid.” Do you want to know what is 'so stupid'? Hurting someone so bad emotionally that they think that cutting their wrists is the only way out. No one realizes how much a single comment can hurt someone. We all see what happens, so why don't we just stop?
