"Robyn Rihanna Graham! Get that sweet ass down here this minute!" Aubrey called out the most glorious name from the bottom of the stairs as he glanced at his watch again.
"Your mother in law will kill us both" he continued, hearing her clicking high heels.
"Only you. She loves me" she giggled, walking down the stairs with a flurry of exotic perfume. He rolled his eyes because that could be true actually.
"What do you think?" she asked innocently, finally standing before him.
Aubrey looked at his wife, scanning her covered body from head to toe.
She wore a simple black dress, but it was tight enough to show over her curves. Very nice. Her lips were impossibly beautiful, painted a deep shade of red and twisted in a sly smile. The smile that meant she had a hidden agenda.
And he knew with the most absolute certainty what she wanted.
"Princess, I think..." he inhaled her amorous scent while eating her up with his lustful eyes "We have to..."
"We have to go Aubrey" Robyn said sternly, trying to sound unaffected but he was sure she was already melting beneath his hot gaze.
"No..." he gave her a cocky grin and started pushing her against the creamy colored wall "We have to make love princess" he added softly, then pressed his lips to hers to cut off any meaningless complaint.
Of course she didn't try to resist. She made no effort to. Not that he expected any different.

Two Years Earlier
The night came early, so did he. And he was alone.
"Robyn?" she heard the question in his voice and felt his eyes bore into her. It was unusual for her to wait for him.
But she had enough time. Time to think. Time to herself. Time alone. Too much time without him.
She smiled gently and nodded while he opened the doors to his apartment without waiting for more words from her. And then she was following him into the salon.
Inside, with better light she looked at him, noticing he was lacking a few days shave but still was looking perfect as ever.
She should have probably felt awkward, they both probably should have. But even if they did it was only for a spare moment. Well, it was rather obvious why she came. Definitely not to end their affair. Their relationship. Connection. Or whatever.
"There is something I need to tell you before we say anything else" she said as soon as he opened his mouth. So Aubrey nodded for her to begin.
Neither of them took a seat.
"It's not that I was mad at you" Robyn assured him, gesturing to the air between them, before slightly bitting her lower lip.
"It's not that I needed you to apologize to me" she continued "And it's not that I needed to forgive you... It's that I was mad at myself" she told him, looking in his eyes. It was easy to look back and see what exactly had gone wrong in the past.
Robyn made a short pause, inhaled deeply, her black blouse tightening against her chest.
"It's not that I didn't miss you" she sounded a bit nervous, because she never answered his calls after their argument. The days and nights all bled into one sad continuum of despondency and melancholia.
"And it's not that I don't love you..." her voice became more soft like a whisper "It's that I love you too much"
Five. Ten seconds of silence.
