Well Hello

Her name was Ashley Demi, she had long red brown hair and hazel eyes. She was popular in a way that most people liked her and loved her sense of style, but not not in the mean girl, head cheerleader, always gets her way kind of popular, at least not yet on the last two. She had a fraternal twin, Nick, who had curly light reddish brown hair with green eyes, he was a basketball jock and wanted by nearly every girl in school. Ashley's best friends were sisters Noley and Hillary Park, who you would never guess were sisters. Noley had long raven hair, and dark eyes that looked magenta/purple due to some mutation or form of albinism, and she was smart, outgoing, but totally antisocial. Hillary was almost the opposite, she had long curly pale blonde hair, light blue eyes, and was a very shy but passionate person. They were both also very pale. Nick's friends since pre-school were John and Nathan, who were both nerds and dorks. John had shaven black hair, hazel eyes, and a brain for science and all things nerdy, Nathan had dirty blonde hair that was practically more an afro than Nick's, green eyes, and had eyes for all things geeky and dorky, like comic books. They both had pretty good builds and handsome faces, but people still saw them as nerds and dorks, and for some reason never took Nick's advice to join the basketball team. Today was the first day of school at Hathaway High School in medium sized beach town called, well, Hathaway.

~Ashley Demi~
"Ash!" someone yelled from the room across the hall. I rolled my eyes and compared my old favorite outfit to the one I bought the other day. "The purple outfit looks good but the other one is so in right now." Noley said, coming into the room. I nodded, "They're both in, but the leather jacket does look better on me," I walked over to Noley and pressed the purple outfit to her, "and this makes your eyes pop, you should wear this." Noel smiled but looked skeptical, like the science nerd in her was battling it out with her hidden wild, stylish Noley. "I dunno Dem, will it get me a boyfriend?" I knew she was joking, Noley was the resident single friend that liked being single, but I smiled anyway and said, "Totally, he'll be hot, and in the Science Olympics." We both busted out laughing, Noley literally slapping her knees like the huge nerd that she is. "Still I dunno..." she said. I pressed it to her again, "Your wearing it, thats an order." She took the outfit and did a mocking salute with a "yes Mam" then headed off to her room to change. Then Nick came into the room, "So how long do you think were gonna live with your weird friends?" he asked. I sighed and turned to him, "Till mom decides she's gonna grow up and stay in one place, which probably won't happen. Nick, you need to face that she's abandoned us."
Nick sighs, nodding, "Whatever, it just feels... weird living with a bunch of girls." I wave a finger at him and say, "I don't ever wanna find you in one of their beds you hear? You a womanizer Nick and you'll break their heart." Nick laughs then Hillary peers in from around the corner, "Hey Demi," she says quietly, "can I come in?" I nod and she walks in, Nick and her look at each other, evaluating the other. "What you want hun? Clothes?"
Hillary nodded,"Can I borrow those moon earrings and those silver heels?" I get them out of my closet and my jewelry box and hand them to her. "There you go, are you trying out for the play? I mean why else are you going to an arts centered high-school?" I asked. Hillary shrugs, "It's also got a great science department so we know why Noley is going."
I smile but look at her like but seriously though. Nick cleared his throat,"Well, I'm leaving, John and Nathan are picking me up since you insisted on taking the car."
I smile and whisper to Hillary, just loudly enough for him to hear, "He means I pulled his hair until he gave in." Nick smirks then heads towards the door, but Noley bounds in with her new outfit on and he does a double take. "Looking good! How very un-nerdy of you."
She puts on a fake smile and looks up at him, "Can I catch a ride with you? I want to check out the biology rooms before class starts." Nick smiles and looks to me like she's my minion I control, "I don't see why not?" I look at Noley, eyes wide, urging her to remember, "Nole, we have to go see Brad, you promised to have my back, remember?!"
Noley sighed,"Right. Fine, but you shouldn't need me to break up with that slime ball." I gave her a big appreciative hug. "All is well," Nick said, "John is driving anyway and you would've distracted him into crashing the car with that outfit, and the bug is so small you'd probably have to sit on him too!" I expected Noley to blush, but she wasn't adept at picking up those kind of things that didn't have to do with facts, statistics, and all that jazz. Nick finally disappeared and Hillary and Noley went off to finish getting dressed. I finished dressing and quickly gulped down some waffles and orange juice down stairs. When the sisters finally joined me Noley swallowed down some milk and and a grain bar and Hillary just picked up a pear and a little cupcake from the fridge. "You guys ready? Lets go!" We head out the door just in time to see John pull up in his mom's purple bug, plastered in peace sign stickers from her hippie days, it was hard not to laugh. "Look its a clown car," I say, "and look! Clowns!" John makes an ugly face at me as Nick runs out and gets into the car. "I wonder how they even fit into that thing." Noley says. I shrug and walk over and get in the driver's seat of my nice red convertible, its not the fancy kind but it's better than John's groovy bug. We all get in a speed off, passing up the boys, hooting in their direction mockingly. It was loads of fun.

~Nathan~
Hello, Nathan here. So after the already embarrassing event of pulling up in a hippie car, she had to make the clown car joke. She was so beautiful but could be so mean sometimes. "Oh you think you feel bad?" John asked, "this is my mom's favorite car, she said I was conceived in here, I think she was joking but still." I knew it to be untrue since John was a planned child, but I still laughed when I saw Nick shudder in the back seat.
"Oh, status update," Nick said, "She's breaking up with Brad, and by the way, I still think it's gross you like my twin sister but good luck man." I pounded my chest and John honked his horn a few times, ahead of us, the girls sped up faster. Oh no. "What's wrong man?" Nick asked. "She's gonna be single, that means I could ask her out." I say. It all seemed so impossible until now, or at least far off, and I wasn't prepared. "Dude it's cool, you'll be fine, just bide your time." John advised.
"Easy for you to say John, you've never had a girlfriend or any other friends but us." John took a turn and parked at the school. We all got out and John nodded towards Noley with the girls heading into the school. "I could be friends with her, she's nice and smart."
"Smart, yes, nice, I dunno, she never really talks or you know, show personality." I say.
"You'd probably end up falling in love with her, you're a hopeless romantic." Nick laughs.
John elbows him crossly, "Well you are," Nick continues, "who else would watch The Notebook of his own accord?!" I chuckle as we hit each other and head into school, my insides churning. I'll get rejected I know it, perhaps I should establish a relationship base, not enough to get me friend zoned but enough to start up the interest. Yep, that will work.
I hope.

P.s. I'll be continuing this story soon. Thank you for reading!
