So I was ready to just go home at that point and just lay down to figure out what just happened, but my friend was nowhere to be found. So I just took a taxi home, I pulled up to my house, paid the driver, and just walked up the walkway. Then walked in the door, as if nothing had just happened. My parents and little sister and brother were still at the table playing the board game, it had been 3 hours. " Oh hey Jake, your home! Want to play with us?" She asked as I shook my head no and went up to my room to lay down. I just laid there staring at the ceiling, I was laying down for at least 30 minutes, then my mom Called me back down. I went down and stood at the bottom step, waiting for her to tell me what she wanted. " Our cousins about to be here in a few, so just come down here and sit. She said as she was putting the game away, so I sat down with everybody else and listened to them argue over who won. Then mom called me in the kitchen, which was out of sight of the living room and the front door. I walked into the kitchen and she was putting dishes into the sink," wash these up for me really quick please." She said pointing to the big pile. I looked upset, then walked over and started washing, then I heard the door bell ring. " Oh great, the AMAZING COUSINS here." My mom opened the door and yelled" hi how are you Janet," said my mom as she hugged her. I knew my mom hugged her because her voice got muffled near the of saying hi back. But something was off, I could feel it. I didn't know what it was but it was weird, I figured I was just being weird. So they went and sat down on the couch talking, I was still in the kitchen. I was done with the dishes, so I dried my hands and walked into the living room. I looked around for the cousin, but she wasn't there. " where is she" i asked as she came around the corner. " Here I am" she said as she hugged me before I saw her face, I thought it was weird but ok. I hugged her back and took a deep breath in, " this smell is very familiar" I thought. Then she let go and stood back and looked me in my eyes, and I almost fainted.
