*Kendall's P.O.V.*

"Damn it!" I yelled and threw my pencil across the studio.

"What's wrong, K-Dawg?" Carlos asked me. I crumpled up the piece of paper I had just begun to write on.

"I can't think of lyrics to this stupid song." I tossed the paper in the trash. It hit the side and bounced off. I groaned at it.

"Do you have a name for the song yet?" He asked me as I got up.

I shook my head. "Not yet," I told him, crossing the room and bending down to snatch the paper off of the floor. He came over to me and smacked me in the back of the head.

"Well, then, that's your issue, silly! You need the name of the song before you can write it!" He said laughing at me. "Do you know what the songs gonna be about?" I looked up at him from my crouching spot on the floor.

"No idea..." I grabbed the paper and slammed it into the trash. He looked at me, bewildered.

"Are you setious? Kendall, you know you can't write a song unless you know what it's about!" He yelled at me.

"Yeah, I know, but we need another song for this album or else it's never gonna be released and the label has turned down every other song I've handed them!" I complained, standing up. "They say that the songs are too sappy and we already have enough love songs on the album. They said that if I don't have a song written in time they'll find someone to write it for me!"

Carlos shook his head. "Kendall. You need to forget about that. Who cares what the label thinks? Just write what you want. They'll eventually get something they like from you!"

"Thanks, Carlos," I said sarcastically and walked back over to my seat. "That makes me feel so much better." I rolled my eyes. "Hey, what time is it?" Carlos shrugged. I picked up my phone. "It's almost four!" I jumped back out of my seat. "I gotta get going! I told Cassie I'd be at her house by five!"

I started grabbing all my things and shoving them into my backpack.

"I'll see ya later, Los." I told him slinging my backpack over one of my shoulders. He came over to me and patted me on the back.

"Don't let this song thing get you down, okay man? Just keep your head up and give Cas a good time." He said, winking at me. I looked back at him and half-smiled.

"I always do," I walked out of the booth and got into my car. I checked the time one more time. 3:55. Just enough time to jump in the shower and pack the stuff for the picnic before I have to meet Cassie.

*1 Hour Later*

DING-DONG. I looked at myself in the window on her door. I fixed my hair and made sure there was nothing stuck in my teeth. I hadn't eaten anything since I brushed my teeth but you never know. I heard the door squeak open.

I spun around and faced the door. Grinning and showing all me teeth.

Cassie was standing in the doorway laughing at me. "You saw that didn't you?" I asked her. She nodded and proceeded to give me a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Hi Kendall," she said and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Hey Cas," I put my hands on her waist. I went to peck her on the lips but she ducked her head the other way. "Aw, come on! Stop teasing me!" I whined.

"Nope, you're gonna have to earn it," she laughed.

"Well, that's not gonna work now, is it?" I asked her, grinning mischievously. I pulled her closer to me and dug my face into her hair. Her blond hair smelled like strawberries and raspberries. I pulled my head back and went for another kiss. This time landing one. "Gotcha!" I laughed at her.
