"Wake up!" Angelus yelled as she hurled her stuffed rabbit at me. "Go away..." I groaned as the rabbit hit me in the face. "I can't go away when we share a room dummy! Now hurry up or I'll eat all of mom's famous Sunday brunch!" She giggled. "Fine whatever." I sighed as Angelus ran out the door. "Don't touch my strawberries. . ." I mumbled as I followed her into the kitchen.
"And the demon awakens!" Mom laughed as she handed Angelus a rather big plate. Angelus grabbed the plate and chortled, "Uh oh, better hide your strawberries!" and at that Mom and Angelus burst into laughter. "Ha-ha very funny." I said flatly as I sat down and grabbed a plate. Mom's Sunday brunch consisted of eggs, grits, sausage, waffles, hash browns, and of course strawberries. "No need to hog all the strawberries!" Angelus teased as she reached over to take one from my plate. I slapped her hand away. "Mine!" I hissed. Mom tittered.
After brunch mom insisted she handle the dishes. Angelus and I headed back to our room. She poked me. "Hmm?" I looked at her suspiciously. You never know what she may be up to. "Can you help me with my homework?" She asked with pleading eyes. "The sounds like a you problem." "Please please please?!" I laughed. "Mom said-"
*Explosions*
Burning. Something was burning. I can smell it. Feel it. In fact my entire body was burning. I thought burning was painful, but this sensation was different. It felt like I was sitting near a fireplace. The sensation didn't last long though. I opened my eyes to find nothing but rumble. Where am I? No I'm still at the house, but where was the house? Something moved to my left. "Hello?" I called. In return I heard a groan. If I'm still in the bedroom then it must be Angelus. I tried to stand, but my leg was injured pretty badly. I had only one option. I had to drag myself over there. "How degrading." I mumbled. "S-s-" Angelus whispered. I reached her finally. "Angel- oh no..." Her body was halfway under a chunk of the wall. "Can you move at all?" I asked. She shook her head weakly. Half of her body must be crushed. I started to feel panicky. "Wait here." I said as I looked around for something that might help. A sinking feeling grew in my chest as I looked around. Everything was turned to wreckage. Every house collapsed. Everyone buried. Every tree fallen. This isn't good. No one is around to help us. Then I remembered mom was in the kitchen during all of this. "This isn't going to be fun." I whispered to myself as I pulled myself up. "Crap!" I cried as I fell backwards on my head. My vision became fuzzy and I couldn't move anymore. That's when the sirens came. A face appeared above me as I started to black out.
