Dean hit the coffin again, and agin with the shovel trying to break it open, but it wouldn't open. He threw it angrily on the floor beside the hole.
"Dean, you need to calm down!" Elan shouted from the steps. "Look at the coffin" She stepped off the stairs and walked towards the hole. "This coffin is not like the coffins you burry your loved ones in. Look at the markings" She pointed at the coffin.
Carved into the coffin, were...dark markings. Some just looked like crosses, and lettering, but others looked much more complex. "Do you know what any of them mean?" He asked.
Elan nodded, and pointed towards a symbol carved into the top of the coffin. "This one"
Dean looked towards the symbol she pointed to; it looked like an anti- possession symbol except...not. Hidden behind the pentagram was a small letter, you really wouldn't see it unless you were looking for it. "What is that?" he asked.
"It means possession, its a small symbol that can be easily hidden behind a anti- possession sign" Elan finished. "And that one" She pointed to another sign hidden at the heart of the coffin "It means destruction"
There was a moment of silence. "We need to open this coffin...now!" Dean stood up off te ground and reached for the shovel, now determined to crack it open. He shoved it into the side where you would normally open a coffin, and kicked.
Dean kicked the top of the shovel head as hard as he could into the coffen's side. There was a sharp click, coming from the coffen's lid. Dean threw the shovel to the side, for he probably won't be needing it anymore, and reached towards the side of the coffin. He grabbed the side, and pulled up.
The coffin opened. The lid hit the cement wall surrounding it with a hard bang. Dean looked down into the coffin. Lying in the coffin...was Krystal.
Dean reached down into the coffin and pulled Krystal out. he held her in his arms as he carried her out of the hole, and laid her onto the cement floor.
Her skin, and her clothes were covered in dust, dirt, and...blood. He reached for her neck, trying to find a pulse. There was no beat. "Elan! She's not breathing!" Dean said angrily.
"Oh no" Bri said from the stairs.
Elan rushed over and kneeled by her side. She placed her hands above Krystal's body. After a moment she let her hands fall to her side. "Dean" she looked up at Dean, sadness seeping through her eyes.
"No" Dean said.
"Dean" Elan said again.
"No! She's alive" Dean quickly pinched her nose with his pointer finger and thumb. And bent down towards her lips. He let his lips fall over hers, and let out a deep breath. He lifted his head up, and leaned over her stomach. He placed one palm over her breast bone, and the other on top of that one. He pushed down a couple of times, and did the whole process again, and again, and again. After the 5th or 6th time of doing it Dean jumped back from Krystal staring at her breathless body.
"Dean, I'm so-" Brianna's words were interrupted by a coughing noise. Dean looked up towards Krystal. She was...coughing. He quickly crawled back over to her. Her eyes flew open, and she looked directly at Dean.
"D- Dean?" She asked in between coughs.
"Yeah, yeah it's me" Dean said softly. Krystal jumped up and grabbed Dean by the shoulders and hugged him.
"It- it was so dark" She stuttered. "It put me in there, and never let me out" Dean felt her start to shake. He brought his arms up, and held her tight against him.
"It's OK" Dean said.
"I'll go get some water" Bri said before running up the stairs. Elan stood up off the ground, and followed Bri up the stairs.
