Phoenix's POV
We ran through the pouring rain holding heavy packs on our backs. Tomorrow was the day I was going leave for the scouts and we haven't even come close to graduating. Everyone seemed to know about my sudden leave. Most were happy I was leaving. I was knocked from my thoughts as Shardis began to shout at a cadet who was well behind the rest of us. I turned my head to see Armin was lagging behind. Groaning to myself, I slowed my quick pace and became even with Armin's slow and uneven pace. I grabbed onto his pack and swung it over my shoulder.
"If you can't do it,drop out of training," I muttered darkly and ran to catch up to the rest of the group. The weight of his pack was suddenly lifted off of my back as Armin caught up to me, his expression hard.
"I'm tired of being weak, I could never fend for myself but now I can try and nobody will stop me!" He said and sped off. I followed and after several hours, we were back at the training camp, resting before dinner.
I was lying silently in my empty cabin, when the door creaked open revealing Annie, Ymir, Christa and Sasha.They climbed up to my bed and we sat down in silence for a while until Annie broke it with a quiet sob.
"I'm gonna miss you Phoenix," She whispered, wiping her tears away. Everyone joined in the crying, including me.
"I'll never forget any of you," I told them. "But remember, no matter what stay strong and fight until the end, even if I'm not there, you don't need to follow me into the Scouts. All of you need to go your own way and follow your own path. It's your future, do what you want with it." I told them and wiped a tear from my eye
"Not just us..." Christa said. "It's your future too and we'll never be separated!"
"United we stand,the Titans will fall!" We all yelled and burst into a fit of giggles. I promised to myself that I would never forget this day.
☆The Next Day☆
I got out of bed and pulled my box with me. This was it, the day I left for the Scouts and never came back. The girls where behind me, trying their best not to cry. Erwin and Levi were there and they escorted me to the horses they had brought to take me to their base. I slowly climbed on but before we left, the girls ran to me yelling all kinds of things.
"Don't forget us!" Christa waved
"Kill some titans!" Sasha yelled
"Lead the scouts to victory!" Ymir yelled and Annie was last to say something
"You'll always be our older sister"
A tear fell down my cheek and another until I was crying "Stay strong and never give up!" I yelled to them as we started leaving, I found myself staring down at my hands. Levi glanced over at me.
"And Miss Cold Shoulder finally shows some emotions," He muttered, turning his attention back in front of him. I shot a glare back at him, roughly brushing away my tears.
"I'll see them again," I insisted. "We're bonded together, after all."
