Summertime!!
The best time of the year! Everyone always looks forward to it. Longer days, later nights, and best of all, Better life!
That is, if you haven't lost someone.
Just two weeks into summer break Katie Holt's papaw was rushed to the hospital. Her parents left her and her brother to go be with him. They worked together to keep the house clean. Her brother, Eli, was only a year younger than her. So it was easy for them to keep the house in order.
Weeks went by and her Papaw hadn't gotten any better. Katie tried to stay strong for her brother. She knew worrying wasn't going to help anything.
Finally, Katie decided to have some fun. Her friends had been begging her for weeks to go to a party with them. Never being the party type Katie normally declined their invite. This time though, she had agreed.
She knew she deserved to go out and have fun.
