She was exactly how I remembered her and was everything I told Wesley she would be. I had been searching for her for so long that I couldn't hardly believe that here she was right in my arms. I tried to tell her of my true plans but how could she understand? She hadn't even met Wesley before. Would she believe me if I told her his true intentions. And sitting there across from her, how could I extinguish the fire from behind her eyes. How could I tell her that she was still in danger. Besides, Wesley probably had all sorts of cameras in her room. What I needed to tell her had to be kept a secret.
The gunfire was a perfect excuse to get us alone. If only she hadn't gone and got herself shot. I was overwhelmed with panic when I saw the blood. Her head lolled back and she collapsed on the metal table. I lifted her in my arms and ran.
