There once was a girl
Who was lost to time
In her mind
Relentlessly searching

For the thing she sought
But was all for not
As it never existed
She was broken

Gathering, gathering
The pieces of the puzzle
The puzzle of which not exist

For the pieces she picked
None of which would fit
Her heart was empty, it split

'Tis not a tale of a wandering soul
But for her heart was a shiny dull gold
She searched and searched but to no avail
Time grew weary and old

It was time to wake up
To get out of her mind
"Everything will be fine"
She whispered

The echo of her voice
Reverberated
"You're running out of time"
He whistled

Tearing, tearing
She tore things apart
Tore apart the life she had made

For that life was her own
She was all alone
Alone forever she bade

There once was a girl
Who was lost in her mind
Nevermore she sought to
Forget

Forget, Forgetting, Forgotten
The girl did not resist
Because the world she made up
Never did she exist
