The sun was shinning bright on Vincent's face as he exited Greenlake Hospital. He was blinded by the sun's bright shine that toward above the city. Vincent could hear to cars engines that were driving by. He could hear people footsteps as they walked along going about their day. Vincent stayed still and waited for his vision to come to focus and when it did he truly saw how the city really was. It had tall brick building, cars that were driven by either a class of wealth or a gang of boys. The people seem to be wearing the same clothing as one another; the men in a suit and the women in dresses. Everyone acted if there weren't anyone else on the street but them, they were just all in a hurry to get to where they were going.
'Must all be heading to work, what low life people. Don't they know that something could ruin their whole day in a matter of seconds?' Vincent scowled at the thought
There was no time to waste, he needed to find someone to help him find out who he was. Suddenly Vincent's head began to throb. It was like nothing he ever felt before, it was though if something was squeezing his head. Vincent leaned against the outside of the Hospital's wall with his right hand while holding his head with his left.
Vincent closed his eyes and grunted "What's happening to me? It feels as though my head is going to explode!"
He felt his heartbeat accelerating, and his stomach aching. But then, It stopped. Vincent opened his eyes and was in a different place. He was in a field, a field of sunflowers and trees that were in the very back. This place seemed very familiar to Vincent but he couldn't quite make it out. How did he even get here? He turned around and saw a tiny yellow farmhouse in the distance.
"Vinnie"
Vincent quickly turned around to see the same young woman and child that were in the photo with him, the woman was looking to the right, facing the field. She had a blue polka dotted dress that was just higher than her knees, short blond hair that shined in the sun, She also had red shoes to match with her red lips. The small child that was hiding behind the young woman barley showing any of his face. He looked to be no more than four. The child was a small boy, he had a button up white collar shirt that was underneath a brown sweater vest and shorts. This boy also had blond hair just like the young woman that was standing next to him. Could it be that this two were mother and son?
"Vinnie, why?"
"Why What? Who are you?" Vincent looked around. "And- Where am I? I was just in the city and now I'm at what looks like a farm owned field. So If I may ask again, Who are you?"
The young women faced Vincent.
Vincent stepped back in horror. The left side of the young woman's face was brutally bashed in, bashed in on the cheek and eye. Blood covered her shoulders. The small boy came from hiding behind the young woman, He had a busted lip and broken jaw. He also had what looked like a broken skull.
"Vinnie you have to forget about us and live your life. Its better if you don't remember what happened to us."
"To us?"
"Vinnie" The young woman said in a sweet voice "Vinnie I'll only tell you this."
"Please Miss, tell me what's going on."
The young woman smiled "Vincent. I'm your wife Helen" She turned to face the small boy "And this, this is your son Edward."
Vincent chuckled a little. It is as though he though this was a game that was being played on him. But he noticed that they weren't laughing so he stopped chuckling.
