        Grace (POV)

I'm half way through the day and I'm board out of my mind. Next period is lunch. Yum. I think. Now that I think about it more and more I'm not so sure it would be yum. You know?
*RING, RING, RING*
Finally. I'm starving. Almost literally. I walk in the line to get lunch and it's so long. Is the food that good? I get to where my food is being served and she doesn't even ask us what we want she just plops this green goo stuff on my plate. Real appetising. Where to sit? Big question but how about to that table with no one. Absolutely no one. This boy walks over and sits.
"Your new here aren't you?"
"No." I say sarcastically.
"Got a lot of guts to say that."
"Why you saying that like it's a bad thing?"
"Well normally new kids especially at this school don't have a lot of guts."
"Well I'm not normal. "
"I can see this clear now."
"Yay you can see."
"Do you have or want any friends?"
I sit there and think for a moment about what happened with parents and schools. But not long enough for him to get on to me.
"Maybe, maybe not. I don't know."
"You don't know?!" He said teasing me.
"I wouldn't be saying anything if I were you, person who I do not know."
"Sorry the names Eric."
"That it. No fancy name."
"I don't think any one has a fancy name here. How about you? You got a name?"
"Yeah I do its Grace."
Well sat there teasing and picking on each other for the whole lunch period. He was nice and all. Maybe I should stick around this school? The final bell rings and I ride my bike home.
Home
I get home no one there of course. Doesn't surprise me. Mom's at work dad's probably at some bar out of town. I think to myself the school is nice but at home it's a total mess. Thinking about running away from the cluster of nose and clutter but I like the school. Nothing like this has happened before what do I do? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
