Oh mai it appears that I'm rewriting a bit??? Spooky.

Yes hi I am alive. Amazing, right?

"Sammy," Dean called at the retreating back of his overgrown sibling. Why did he get to hog all the heighth anyways? "Are you sure you'll be alright out there on your own? There's nothing wrong with asking your big brother to go with you in case you get into a tight spot"

He held out his arms, as if it'd help him accept the deal easier. The truth was, he wanted Sam to say yes to letting Dean tag along. He wanted to make sure he'd be safe, despite the fact that Dean knew he was capable enough to do this on his own.

"Yes, Dean," Sam sighed, having answered the same question for the third time today. "I'm alright with handling a little job alone. Besides, it's just a restless spirit. It'll take no time at all."

He shut the small box of weapons with a grunt, closing the trunk of the rental car behind it. If he'd just accepted Dean's offer to go with him, he wouldn't have to go through all the trouble of preparing a separate vehicle - another point Dean had argued, but was quickly repelled. It wasn't too much trouble, he'd assured Dean. None at all.

Dean sighed, then smiled, patting his little brother on the back. Despite his constant worrying, he was proud he was doing this on his own. Months ago, he would have had to drag him to the site himself. He'd changed a lot since then.

Sam made his way around to the driver's side, opening the door to the silver vehicle. He slid into the front seat, ducking his head as he clambered in. Dean held in a laugh, looking at his gangly little brother jammed into the tiny car's front seat. He coughed to play off the laugh, then leaned against the doorway, smirking.

"Maybe you can find a lady friend while you're out, eh, Sammy? What do you say?" he waggled his eyebrows for emphasis.

His question was answered with a laugh as Sam pushed him from the window of the car. Just as he'd gotten a step back, a flutter of wings sounded behind Dean, and he turned to see Castiel.

Dean looked at him in disbelief, then turned to see that Sam had rolled up the window and locked the door, laughing from inside the car.

"I called him to keep an eye on you, Dean!" he heard Sam shout from inside before he shifted into reverse and started to back up.

"What!" Dean shouted as Sam shifted into drive. "I don't need a babysitter!"

With a salute, Sammy drove off, leaving Dean and Cas alone in the deserted parking lot. His baby, the Impala, was the lone car in the parking lot, off in the corner in the shade to protect the leather from the sunlight. Dean sighed, wiping his hands on his jeans. It was going to be a long day.

"You don't really need to be here, Cas."

The angel looked up at him, obviously confused. Sam had called Cas to stay with Dean while he was away, working a job. He'd told him to have a good time - to stay with Dean, have a drink, and watch out for him. Stuff like that, he'd told him. Of course, Castiel had agreed, for Dean's sake.

"It's fine, Dean. I agreed to stay with you for the week - Sam did ask me," he reasoned, though he still didn't get why the hunter was so against it. It seemed to make sense to have more people in case something happened.

Dean sighed, running his hand through his hair. He wasn't going to understand what he meant, so he gave up, accepting the company. It couldn't hurt. He fished his keys out of his pocket and headed for the Impala, kicking rocks on his way there. The angel followed close behind, almost robotically, which was a little weird to Dean. Then again, Castiel was a little weird.
