Chapter 9
Felix follow Tala and her guard—Din—through the woods. He moves bushes out of his face exhausted. "Where are we going?" He ask. They have been traveling for almost a full day now. His body was trained for this type of endurance but without any more food and water it was a pain. He lick his dry lips and push forward.
"To see a friend." Tala surprisingly answer. "If we wish to get to this town in a timely manner we need to jump."
"Jump?" Felix ask. "You mean like teleportation?"
"No." Tala answer. "It's different. She opens a portal after we request a destination. We walk through. It's simple. However, she is pricey so we'll have to be very persuasive." Tala finishes while squeezing her dagger.

Stella groans and roll over. Her hand move around the cold space of the bed. She frown before opening her eyes. She look around the room to see Calista throwing things into a duffle and Eleanor sitting by the window sill mixing potions together while reading through one of her grandmother book of spells.
She run her fingers through her tangled bed hair and yawn. Eleanor eyes land on her. She give her a soft encouraging smile before concentrating on her work.
Calista continue to focus on things they needed. She stand and chew on her bottom lip. Something then clicks because she is moving again. She head to the underwear draw before pulling everything out and tossing it in the bag. Stella shake her head with a giggle.
This is your family now.
"Good morning." Calista say finally noticing she is awake. "Are you feeling any better?" She ask with a low whisper while running her fingers through her white hair. Stella yawn again before nodding her head.
"I just need a quick shower and coffee." Stella say.
Calista look at her in worry. Stella tries to look away but it was useless. Calista is grabbing her chin softly and forcing her to look at her. "You're not weak." She whisper. Stella smile. She and Calista had an odd connection. Even though she was the one who could read minds Calista is the only one who could see right through her.
"I know Calista. Thank you." Stella forces a smile because she was still upset about leaving her family again. Calista watches her and arches her eyebrow. But, she chooses to let it go.
"Okay. Come talk to me later." Calista say. "I'll go make sure everyone else is up."
Eleanor watch Calista leave and shut her book with a sigh. She walks over to Stella and kiss her sweetly on the lips. "I don't know if I should be jealous." She say with a cock of her head.
Stella furrow her eyebrows in confusion.
"I'm not." Eleanor defends. "But—should I be? I'm I missing something here with you Calista?"
Stella scowls, "She was comforting me."
Eleanor awkwardly shifts, "I know and that's okay. I'm just—
"You're just what?"
"I've never done this before okay!" Eleanor spats. "The whole relationship thing." She then pause. "After you said we were official it kinda changed things and I don't know how to comfort you like Calista can."
Stella nods in understanding. "You're not failing as a girlfriend Elle." She pulls Eleanor lips to hers. "There is nothing to be jealous about. We are family."
Eleanor smile and kisses Stella. She squeezes her hip gently before deepening the kiss. Stella moans as her tongue wrap around hers. She nip at her bottom lip before planting kisses on the side of her neck.
