Prologue
Isn't it annoying when your brother gets all the fame and you don't.
I'm Alyssa Potter, the famous Harry Potter's twin sister. No one knows about me I was with Albus Dumbledore while Voldemort killed my parents, James and Lily Potter.
I have lived with Albus for 12 years he has been a father to me. I have to pretend I'm Albus's granddaughter. The story is that Albus's son is my dad and he died and so did his wife, my fake mum when I was a baby. I was given to Albus Dumbledore. For now my name is Alyssa Dumbledore until I tell Harry my true identity.
Chapter 1
Today is one of the greatest days of my life, I'm going to Diagon alley to get my stuff for when I go to Hogwarts the school for witchcraft and wizardry. I will be going into my third year at Hogwarts. I've visited Hogwarts several times before Harry started there and the school was huge and very beautiful. Once Harry started I was restricted to go because Albus didn't want me to get caught. He says that “Harry isn't ready yet” but I disagree, he's been through a lot in the past two years he needs family with him.
Walking through Diagon Alley, I glance at someone reading the Daily Prophet it had a picture of Sirius Black behind bars. It seems as though he has escaped from Askaban. He only was in there because people believed that he killed Peter Pettigrew (the traitor). However, me, Albus and Sirius are the only people who know that he isn't dead.
The Ministry always jump to conclusion and it's really annoying, they say that it was Sirius who told Voldemort but I know he didn't. I wrote to him everyday I think I'm the only person he's got, I talked to him about how Harry's doing (I get all the information from Albus) and he replies telling me how much Harry reminds him of James. The last letter I got he wished me luck on my first day at Hogwarts (when I get there of course) and told me that he will see me soon. I guess that what his way of saying he's going to escape so that he can see me and Harry. He also told me that people will tell me and Harry to keep away from him and I need to listen to until the time is right.
I continued walking through Diagon Alley collecting all the things I need. When I was finished Severus Snape collected me, did I mention that I like him whenever I visited Hogwarts I always went to the dungeons to talk to him. He was my adult best friend. He always tells me how much I look like my mum, Lily and how my personality was like my dad's, James.
“Got everything you need Alyssa?” Severus asked me.
“Yeah, well nearly everything I haven't got an animal but I thought maybe when I tell Harry who I really am, that he will share Hedwig with him.” I said.
“You could do that or you could have this” Severus gave me a beautiful puppy it was a husky puppy.
“Oh thank you Severus this is the present ever” I hugged and asked “but I thought students only could have an owl, cat, bat, rat or frog?”
“I talked to Albus and asked him if you could have a puppy instead since you love them so much. He said that you could as long as you looked after it.” He replied.
