[Thursday Night] {Night 1, Day 5}

Reading a clock that showed 10:34 P.M., you proceeded to let out a yawn. You were allowed after calling your mother, and talking to the nurses and doctors put in charge of your dad. To stay the night. But you had taken a nap at 7:30, intent on waking up an hour later to go eat. But that didn't go as planned. So standing up checking to make sure your phone and wallet are with you, you set off to floor three. The second lobby that you knew had vending machines, besides the main floor.

"I'll be back, dad. I'm just going to the vending machines, real quick." Giving a sad smile and retracting your hand from his, you left his room. Room 309. Wiping your eyes from the slight watering feeling, you knew were tears, as you made it to the elevator.

'Dad's getting better..' It was true he was slightly improving. Basically all the bruises, cuts, gashes, and most of the stitches that weren't serious. Were gone or nearly three-fourths of the way there. His fractures in the bones of his foot,arm, and leg, as well as a few ribs were aligned right. So he has a slight chance of healing better. A few other problems weren't as fortunate, and are still monitored closely. Sighing sadly and heavily, as the words of a doctor telling you, that he'd have multiple scars from some of the wounds. And even operations. The elevator stopping one floor above the wanted destination, as a nurse with a cart came in next to you. Hitting floor nine's button, in total, there were ten floors to (A/N: I'm just gonna have a blank for the hospital's name. xD You can put in or make up your own, name for it.) --------'s hospital.

"Ah.. Um... Good evening.?" Trying to make the silence less hard on your nerves, by being next to a nurse who's black hair. Was styled and let loose so it covered her eyes from your view next to her. Not only that but you could HEAR her heart beat, and low shallow breaths. Her cart also has a few needles and scissors, along with a scalpel discarded around the cart's surface.

'Could it even still be CALLED evening?' Mentally questioning it to yourself, as your attention shifted to the buttons of the elevator. The nurse giving a low and raspy like 'hm'. As you saw her right hand twitch. Upon closer inspection you blinked a bit at her hands flashing to a bony skeleton, and claw like state. Only to go back to her normal black painted two centimeter long nails. You also could've sworn you saw her eyes shift to you, but in the place of her dark brown- nearly black eyes. You only saw empty black and dried blood in-crusted eye sockets, oozing a gooey, clumpy, sludge like black substance.

'What the!?' Your breath hitched in your throat as you rubbed your eyes, your hands resting against your temples and cheeks. As you looked back at the buttons trying to calm yourself down. WHY were you seeing these things? Why now? Whats happening to YOU? 'I just don't like hospitals is all, I'm not used to staying in them. Too many cliché horror movies..' Convincing yourself those were the reasons you were seeing things. You repeated it to yourself.

'It's just too many cliché horrors.. I'm not used to staying over night.' Your stomach grumbled reminding you of the reason your here, causing you to let out a breath you were holding. Right as you opened your eyes a light pink blush of embarrassment on your cheeks, as you heard the very faint ruffle of clothing.

'The nurse is probably looking at me, and my deranged, hungry self..' Preparing to apologize and face her- since you just felt like you should. You stopped as the thought hit you.

'Why.. Is the elevator trip taking so long?' Before you could voice it, but everything stopped and became even more silent as though you did say it, aloud. The light in the elevator flickered, the buttons soon following but only in a weird pattern.

9, 13, then a three second pause and more numbers- 3, 15, 9, 14, and 7. Another pause as the lights flickered more the time extension, of which the lights stayed off becoming longer. As the pattern of the buttons sped up, as if signaling some kind of message [1][2].
