Chapter 1

"I don't want to move." says Amber.
"Yeah I agree with her why do we have to move, I loved our old house. Says her sister Crystal.
Their mom looked at them
"You both agree on something for once." She smirked.
For the rest of the car ride they stay silent looking out the car window. When they got to the house both girls were surprised. The house was in a small town, it had 8 rooms and 4 bathrooms

"Wow mom, I love it but why did we have to move?" says Crystal.
"We moved because, I got a new job, and this is a better house so you two dont have to share a room."
Crystal sighs and walks behind her sister. When they walked into the house, they saw a bunch of cobwebs and dust.
"It looks like a haunted house."

Amber looks at Crystal and smiles. After helping their mom bring in boxes their mom looks at them.
"Okay girls you can go look for your new."
Before she could finish Amber and Crystal run upstairs in search for their new rooms. Amber finds a room and puts her stuff in it.

Crystal decides to pick the room right across from her. A short time later their mom calls them down for dinner. While eating Amber asked
"So mom when do we start school, and does it have a dance team?"
"You start in two weeks and yes it does have a dance team."
After diner the girls go to their rooms.

Crystal's POV

I went up my room across the hall from Amber. I wake up slowly and look at the clock it reads 12:30am, I start to hear someone whisper my name. I was about to yell out when Amber comes barging in looking furious.
"What the hell is wrong with you Crystal. It's almost 1am and you decide to pull a prank on me." She yells at me.
I give her a puzzled look.
"What are you talking about Amber I was going to yell at you for pulling a prank on me."
We both stayed silent until a whisper broke it. Me and Amber locked eyes, but it wasn't coming from either of us. Amber came up next to me and layed down. After a little bit the voice stopped and we drifted into a dreamless sleep.

3rd POV

In the morning they went downstairs where their mom was making breakfast for them.
  "Hey mom did you hear anything weird last night?"
"No why?"
"Oh because I kept...."
Before Crystal could finish Amber steps in and says
"Hey mom what for breakfast it smells really good."

"Oh it's bacon eggs and toast."
As their mom said this Amber dragged Crystal into the other room
"What is wrong with you, if you tell mom she will think you're making excuses to go back to our old house. This is just between me and you alright."
Crystal nods her head. That day they went exploring around the house and they were really surprised to see how big the house really was.

They got tired of exploring and leaned against a wall. When Crystal put her hand on the wall it rips the paper just a little but enough for them to hear it. They look at each other with curiosity. Both girls start to tear at the paper; when the paper is off a door stands in its place. When they tried to open it they found it locked. Amber and Crystal started to walk away when they hear their names being called, like last night but louder.

They went pale and looked around to see where the noise was coming from. When Amber found the source of the noise, they turned as white as ghosts.because, it was coming from the hidden door they found. They ran away shaking in fear. Later that night after they calmed down they went back to the door, but it was still locked. Crystal notices a message written on the door: TO FIND THE KEY, LOOK IN A PLACE WHERE THE SUN IS ONLY SEEN A LITTLE, BUT BE WARNED IF YOU OPEN THE DOOR YOU WILL FIND A GREAT DANGER AWAITING IN STORE. After reading the message Amber and Crystal think about what they just read. Crystal has an idea
"I think I know were the key is. The key is in the basement or the attic.

Each girl takes a spot

Amber's POV

I went down in the basement to find a key. Why would their be a key down here I have know idea but don't ask me. Anyways I walk down the creaky steps when I reach the bottom I see a lot of boxes and a small desk in the center of the room. My curiosity got the best of me as I walked over to the desk, I see a bunch of dusty newspapers. I picked one up as the dust covered my hands. I wiped the top of it so I could read it. It read : MORE KIDS VANISH FROM THE LIGHT MANOR. I felt my body froze in place . After I got control back, I raced up the stairs to show Crystal what I found.

Crystal POV

While Amber looked in the basement I decided to look in the attic. At first I see nothing, then as I stepped on one of the floorboards, out of the corner of my eye I see something gleam under the floor bored. I picked up the bored careful to not get splinters and see it was a key. I rush to show Amber what I found.

3rd POV

When they both see each other they are running fast and don't have time to stop, so they run into each other. Amber drops what she is carrying Crystal catches her breath and asks
"What are you running for oh and look I found a key."
Amber still trying to catch her breath just points to the newspapers. Crystal sees what she's pointing at and reads the headline.

They both stayed silent.
"I don't think we should open the door remember what the message said well, what if the other kids that lived here opened the door and something bad happen to them." Amber tells her.
"You don't know that and the only way to find out is to open the door. I'm scared to but, come on let's just open the door and find out.

They got up to the door and tried the key but it wouldn't work. They tried to twist and turn the key but it was useless. They looked at each other puzzled. Right when Amber and Crystal were going to give up they heard the whisper again, except it was not calling their names this time it was saying
"Put your hands on the door and think about opening it."
