Paradise café

Chapter 1

Natalya sighed contentedly as she lifted a small cup of coffee to her lips. She was in Paradise. No, she really was IN Paradise, it was the name of the coffee/tea shop she was in. Paradise was co-owned by a pair of twins. The boisterous one's name was Alfred, and the other one was named Michael? No it was Marley. Or was it Matthew?  Natalya shrugged and decided to go with the latter of the three.

A small bell went off as the café's door opened. A young blond girl entered, daintily making her way towards the register.

Natalya kept her eyes on the girl, who she found to be interesting. The girl wore a cute knee-length red dress that were accompanied by a pair of shiny black flats. Her short blond hair framed her face nicely, which complimented her bright emerald-green eyes.

The girl smiled at the barista while she ordered her drink and/or food. Natalya kept on watching, not caring if anyone else saw and thought it was rude. She saw the girl struggling with something in her bag. Maybe she couldn't find her money? Natalya quickly stood up, fishing a twenty from her bag.

"Oh my gosh! I swear my wallet's in here somewhere!"

Lili rummaged through her bag, hoping that it was in some hidden pocket, or that it was just camouflaged. Sadly though, it wasn't in her bag at all.

The barista at the counter gave a bored sigh.

"Excuse me miss, but do you even have the money at all? I can't give you your meal if you can't pay."

Lili started to tear up a bit. She didn't mean to waste the guy's time, and she was pretty hungry.

"I have it sir! I really do! It should be in here somewhere...?"

Lili placed her purse on the counter and started to look for her wallet again, when a gloved hand suddenly placed a twenty dollar bill on the counter, and a gruff, accented voice said,

"I'll pay for her."

A surprised Lili turned around to look at her new 'hero'. Or heroine, for that matter. The girl had long, silvery hair, and startling dark blue eyes. She wore a billowy, blue dress that went a little bit past her knees, and a pair of black combat boots.

The barista handed the girl her change. She silently accepted it and put it in her bag. The girl then faced Lili and stuck out a hand.

"My name's Natalya Arlovoskaya. What is yours?"

Lili grabbed the offered hand and smiled.

"My name is Lili Zwingli. Nice to meet you, Natalya!"

Ah! That's the first chapter, it won't be many chapters though, and yeah! Please R+R! I wanna see what y'all think! ^.^
