31 Day Challenge 2015

Day 1

So it's that time of year again even if we're slightly late - hey we had important exams alright- but we're still going for it. This years challenges look great as always and will of course be filled with too much randomness.

There will be swearing but everything else should be what 12 highest so you have been warned but without further ado here's challenge one.

We'll start with one of the biggest writing cliches of all time; retell a fairy tale in some dark/sinister way, bla bla bla horror, bla bla bla the grandmother was a werewolf; you get the picture.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful royal castle lived in by a beautiful royal family, unfortunately the queen, the kings first wife had died in childbirth leaving the brokenhearted man with a baby girl, wanting to give the girl a women to look up to and create a perfect family - because single parents never work even if they're royalty - he remarried a kind women who looked after his daughter, whom he named Snow White after her pale skin. The queen loved her husband and stepdaughter dearly and when Snow was 8 she was destroyed when the King died, although foul play was suspected but never confirmed and as Snow was too young to take the throne she graciously agreed to hold it until the girl was 18. This lead to rumors that she was the one to murder the king but as she knew she didn't do it she never bothered to pay attention to them and wasn't that a mistake.

When Snow was 17 she broke into the Queens secret chamber and as punishment she sent her into the woods to help the castle logger where she got lost. While the Queen searched for weeks she wasn't found and she had to proclaim her dead, by this time the rumors that she had killed the King had resurfaced and she had to start stopping them adding fuel to the flames. A few months after Snow's disappearance she showed up proclaiming that the Queen had tried to kill her and things went from bad to worse when the apple the Queen gave to her turned out to be poisoned and the girl entered a coma only awaken on her 18th birthday by a prince from a far land visiting the palace to set rebellion in his own kingdom about the king and his daughters murders  at rest, he kissed her successfully drawing the poison out and allowing Snow to awaken and proclaim the Queens evilness once again and as she was 18 and technically Queen the old Queen was thrown into the dungeons where she waited until the night of Snows coronation.

Snow visited the old Queen in her coronation robes and gave her stepmother nothing but a red apple infused with the same poison as the one that killed the king and should have killed her if not for the antidote she had swallowed earlier that day when she had slipped the apple into the Queens bowl. The same poison she later used to kill all of her enemies and husband inheriting his kingdom, while she was recorded in history as poor Snow White her stepmother as the Evil Queen.

I don't understand how they didn't see it after all who as skin that white?
