"I'm gay Jaryl."

Jaryl stood there only in his boxer shorts letting the overwhelming sense of shock slowly get him to his nerves. Swallowing hard he pulled out the chair and plopped himself across him pulling the box of rice cripes aside and dumping it into the ceramic bowl.

"Oh?"

"That's it? That's all you have to say? Jaryl I come out of the closet and all you have to say is oh? Don't you want to know how I turned gay Jaryl?"

Sighing he reached over the fridge and poured a large serving of milk all over the cereal shoving a spoonful into his mouth.

"Frankly, no David."

"Well forget why I turned gay but aren't you curious when I found out?"

Jaryl glanced up once to meet his eyes before shoving another spoonful of cereal into his mouth refusing to reply.

"Fine, I'm dating someone. There I said it."

He grunted once, before reaching over the table picking up the crumpled newspaper that David had abandoned reading, before flipping to the daily news section.

"Did you know Javen Bisten debuted a new song?"

Jaryl stated suddenly upon scrunching his nose at the young singer who had a black eye from being hit on the face by an autograph book.

"Uh!" David slammed his hands on the table in frustration rattling it's contents.

"Well fine, I'm dating Mr Harrison you know you're middle school teacher are you not shocked by this?!"

Finally Jaryl sighed closing the newspaper taking his time folding it neatly before chucking it to the side, taking a deep breath he sighed.

"No, I'm not surprised you're dating Mr Harrison, or that you are dating or that you're gay. But whatever the reason is I still love you dad."

A silence filled the room as David's eyes began to glaze over watching his 15 year old son take it in ease with the same glimpse of boredom in his eyes. Just like the dead goldfish at five, or the puppy that got ran over at ten or even when Judy...

David let out a chocked sob that echoed through the small kitchen hidding his face in his cupped hands. Standing up slowly Jaryl shuffled his way next to David and gave him a quick hug.

"Come on dad don't be a drama queen, this house has enough drama on its own."

Sniffing David sat up ruffling Jaryl's dark brown hair that stuck out in odd angles.

"What I would do for hair like yours."

Smiling Jaryl pushed his hand away as David proceeded to continue picking through his hair.

"Okay dad you can fantasize about my hair some other time, I'm going to be late for school."

David clapped his hands excitedly together smiling brightly as his eyes perked up as he recalled the great event, Jaryl proceeded to groan as David reached from the bottom of the drawer and took out a huge gift bag.

"I got this for you for the start of a new sophomore year!"

Jaryl glanced at it once before recoiling back.

"Oh god no."

A/N:

Ello.

Few pointer while I'm here:

1) First story ever writen, so sorry if it's hard to understand and it's really short. like REALLY short. I swear I will write longer ones *I think*

2) I will get lazy so if my chapters take forever to get posted means I'm either dying or lazy.

3) I just like to complete things with the numbers, 3, 5 or 10.

Happy Reading. ;)
