It's all thanks to Wesley Crusher.
The Traveler had abruptly appeared in front of Admiral Riker's quarters in San Francisco, telling him that the galaxy awaits more of the sentient beings.
"You don't age, apparently." Was Riker's first comment after being told that.
"Admiral, I do age, but not physically, but in knowledge and wisdom."
"And this...wisdom...is the one telling you to come to me?"
"Yes, you are an admiral to the ever expanding Starfleet, but more than that, you are someone I looked up to in the past, and you are my friend."
"Well, I am glad you're still thinking me as a friend. After all, it is good to have friend in high places."
Wesley smiled. He still looked like a teenager barely moving to his twenties.
"Now, what do you mean by "the galaxy awaits more of the sentient beings?""
Wesley smiled. "Admiral, you need to make a fleet of small planets and populate delta quadrant. Time is now."
Riker frowned.
Wesley nodded. "See you in delta quadrant, Admiral"
He then disappeared.
Riker pinched himself so hard he screamed.
"Captain, have you awakened yet?" Starok asked, coldly, as he punched tactical commands on his console.
"I think I have, Lieutenant..." Captain Seven yawned. "What are we doing?"
"Orbiting this planet."
"Vasatian III."
"Yes."
The captain yawned again. Somebody poked Seven from his right side.
Seven looked at her. "Good morning to you too, Commander Lal."
Lal smiled. "Do you want me to punch you awake, captain?"
Seven widened his eyes, then straightened himself. "Thanks for the offer, Lal, but this really is not the place to do something kinky."
Ensign Crick chuckled on the helm. Lieutenant Commander Alexander III grunted on the Ops console. Lal smiled. Starok just stand up straight.
Seven stood up and approached the view deck. The holographic presentation of the planet was visible. He look at the north pole, then rotate it with his hands to look at the south pole. The seismic indicators rotate accordingly. Their little ship was also rotated together with the planet.
"Okay, Vasatian III..mining problems, seismic problems, trade problems, people panicking. The probe, Commander?"
"It has burrowed itself deep into the core, ready for our command to activate its vibratory warp to dissipate magnetic disturbance caused by the residual disruptor phasing left by the Borgs."
"Seismic activities, Lex?"
"Crazy. Ready to be vibrated."
"Lex, input countdown for 72 more seconds." Lal commanded.
Lex input the sequences required.
72 seconds later. "Probe activated. Warp vibration sequence executed."
Seven looked at the transparent planet just in front of him. "Excellent, the residues are being dissipated. Ready the deflector array to absorb it. Helm, take us on a merry go round!"
