Chapter 4: The Six Missing Children

Abby P.O.V

"What do you mean "deep crap"? What's gonna happen to me?!"

I started to panic. I mean some old dude told me I was in "deep crap" That scares me. Like alot.

"Ma'am calm down. What did you do? Tell me the whole story. Come sit over here."

He gestured toward the stools behind the counter.

"Well when I went in there it was all dark and scary and the flashlight didn't reflect and I touched the glass with my hand and got curious and I put my face in and it was like a whole no-"

"Darling, calm down. You are rambling so fast I can't understand you."

He started to rub my back when he introduced himself.

"My name is Kurt. I'm 75, and I work here for a darn good reason. When you two showed up I new there was trouble. What's your name?"

"My name is Abby. I'm 17, and I want answers."

"Abby. That's a beautiful name."

"Thank you, now I want answers."

He looked around for a minute before he looked at me again.

"What would you like to know? I can answer any question with pride. I already know what your first question is."

I looked at him with disbeleiving eyes.

"Proove it."

"You would like to know whats gonna happen to you."

"Oh, because it wasn't already obvious?"

"Well you might-"

He was cut off by a bell ringing. I looked at the broken door, and saw a sweet lady.

"WHO FELL IN THE MIRROR??"

She ran to Kurt and stated rumaging through the counter until she pulled out what looked like 5 papers.

"Calm down Emily. Your gon' scare the young girl."

I looked closer at the papers, and on each one was a picture of a different person. Ranging from the ages of 13-21.

"What's this?"

I asked, looking straight at Kurt. He cleared his throat and looked down.

"All five kids who've ever fallin' in. And.."

His voice got harder and harder to hear as he finished his sentence.

"Never... re...turned."

I then lost it and burst into tears. I lost my BFF. And anyone who's ever fallin in' never came back.
