We fired everything we had at them mowing down the first row. Their tactics were terrible but they had numbers and they used them to their advantage. All I heard were screams around me; men dying or dead lying in pools of their own blood. We were getting destroyed. We tightened our perimeter and kept firing. We were being overrun and we all knew it.

I woke up to the usual sound of the alarm clock. I got up and woke the rest of my squad. We showered, changed, and went to eat breakfast. I had my usual toast, eggs, sausage, and bacon with some apples. I was stationed at the Providence army base just south of Chicago. We went to target practice next. I loved target practice because the targets came at us and moved around. We got one mag to hit as many targets as we could. There were twenty targets and I had thirty shots, however you had to hit the targets a certain number of times for them to go down; one for the head, five for the midsection, and seven for anything below the waist. I hit nineteen.
"Trench," my buddy called.
"Hey Donovan," I yelled back.
"How many did u hit?"
"Nineteen"
"Pshhh, I can do better"
"Yeah, go head and try"
Right in the middle of Donovan's turn my commander called me into his office. He had me look at the radar and I was horrified at what I saw. There was at least fifty bogeys heading toward Alaska. He then got on the radio and called the base in Alaska.
"Alpha 0-1 were reading fifty plus bogeys headed toward you please verify," the general said.
"Skies are clear Bob cat 0-5" they said back.
Then it shifted and now was headed toward the west coast.
"Uhh python 0-3 were reading 100 plus bogeys in you sector." the dispatcher said.
"Negative I dunno what to tell you." they said back.
"Roger running diagnostics to scan for malfunction."
"Go ahead and contact Charlie 0-7 and see if they have anything." my commander said. Charlie 0-7 was the military base in Massachusetts
"Charlie 0-7 do you have anything on radar?"
"There're everywhere we need help!" Charlie 0-7 radioed back.
"Charlie 0-7 repeat!"
"I don't know what they are but they have everything east of 65 we're being overrun!" Charlie 0-7 radioed back.
Quickly I discovered that we were at war with aliens.
Just then I heard a buzzing outside and heard explosions. I grabbed my gun and went to see what happened. Then the alarm for the military base went off BEE-DOW BEE-DOW. My commander told me to grab my squad and go set up a perimeter around the base. I ran back to the shooting range to get my squad. They were already there and shooting up in the air.
I yelled, "Come with me!"
We ran to the front of the base where we saw hordes of orange people running towards us shooting. All I heard was BZZ-BZZ as their guns were firing at us. We took cover and returned fire. Instantly rows of them were lying on the ground bleeding yellow blood. There were stronger troops behind the first line and they were pinning us down. I knew that we had to rush them.
"On me!" I yelled.
"One-Two-Three now!"
We rushed them with everything we had. There were bullets upon bullets whizzing past my head.
