I just had to update because I hadn't updated in forever. Well enjoy this new chapter. If any of you guys read the unedited version, I changed the name Halgeren to Cedric.
I woke up my head was pounding and I felt like an elephant was standing on my chest. I gasped for air and fell on the ground. I tried to stand but I collapsed. I was in a panic, I didn't know what to do. I yelled for someone to come but no one did. I sudden pain hit my stomach, it felt like someone had kicked me. I screamed in distress grabbing my stomach and pulling my knees together. "Takio!" Someone was outside the door. The door flung open, chips of wood flew everywhere. Attami came to my side and pulled me up. My knees were weak so I latched onto the side of a desk. "Stand up there is nothing wrong with you. You just feel her pain," his voice had no sympathy.
"What are you talking about?" I stammered, trying to get a hold of myself.
"Clementine was captured and now your feeling her pain," Attami stormed out of the room and I followed.
"Wait when did this happen," I demanded, pushing back my emotions.
"Last night. Tadashi saw Cedric dragging her away into the woods with some vampires by his side. You were to busy fooling around to even make sure she got home safe," his words were frightening.
I was furious that I had failed to protect Clementine. I couldn't hold my anger in so I lashed out on Attami, and what have you done to bring her home?! You are filled with fear and ignorance. You don't want what's best for the pack, you just want the crown all for yourself!"
He slapped me so hard that I almost fell to the ground, "listen and listen good. You had one job and that was to protect Clementine and guess what? You failed, failed to protect her and now Cedric captured her."
I felt compulsion to start a fight but something inside me was saying not to. I tried to keep it together and pushed past him. Everyone was gathered together and dad had just called for a meeting. I really didn't care what anyone thought, I was just going to find Clementine. "Don't go. Let the pack handle it bud," Bella blocked the door.
"If I wait for the pack then she will die!" my heart was beating fast.
"If you don't wait, then you will die!" she hollered at the top of her lugs.
I let out a low growl, "I will not let you stop me from protecting my mate." I shivered when I said the word mate. I had never thought of Clementine as my mate, more like a friend. My connection to her was growing stronger and it was like I couldn't live without her. Curse you moon goddess, how am I suppose to tell her that we, out of all people, were meant for each other. I don't know if she could feel the connection or not, but I knew it was driving me crazy. Before I knew it I was out the door chasing after her scent.
Clementines P.O.V:
It was just a normal day. I got home and took care of the daily chores and made dinner. I was really happy to see my dad after he had been gone for so long. When he came in to the door I ran to him and hugged him tightly. "I missed you," I let go, trying not to cry. He didn't say anything back he just stood there like a statue. "I fixed up some dinner. You can have some of you'd like," I pointed to the plates neatly set out on the table. He stumbled over to the table and used his hands to eat. I backed up in disgust putting my hands over my eyes. Slurping sounds had emerged from him. Crunching and glass breaking came from him.
He turned around to face me and grabbed my wrist, "Your coming with me." His voice wasn't the same and he was acting strange.
"No!" I protested, stepping back. He gave out a nasty snarl and pulled me by the hair, dragging me outside. The pain was unbearable, it felt like someone had shot an arrow through head. Outside there were two other men who were some sort of demonic creatures. I sat on the ground useless and innocent.
"Tell me where the king is!" His breathe smelt of blood and human flesh. I held my breathe as he got closer to my face.
"What do you want with me?" I cried, trying to find a way to escape.
"Ahh, you're a stupid girl Clementine. Don't you see? You have there trust and undivided attention. I need you to bring me to the king and the moment you see him you will stab him with this dagger through his heart," he scolded holding up a small knife with small decorations on the side.
"What makes you think I will do what you say," I challenged.
He gave me a dirty look and pointed the knife towards me, "you will do what I tell you or else I will end you and your father's life." The vampires laughed behind him like hyenas. I looked into his deceiving eyes, this was not my dad and this will never be my dad. "Lets go!"
"Do you smell that Cedric?" One of the larger vampires asked.
"Did I ask you to speak?!" He replied in a threatening voice. I felt someone coming near and I recognized the scent right away. It was Tadashi and it smelt like he had just went fishing. Tadashi came out from the bushes and looked frightened. His eyes met mine and he looked scared and worried. I mouthed the words 'don't worry' to him to put him at ease. "Kill him," his voice was very placid. The vampires instantly began chasing Tadashi through the forest.
"No!" I pulled away from Cedric's grasp. I heard the distant whimpering of Tadashi's wolf. Cedric gave out a loud and boisterous laugh while yanking me by the hair and dragging me to a place in which I might never come back.
