The sun glared down, warming the air around me and my friends as we walked along a cobble ridden path.
"Oreo, Why is Ari doing this?" Vid asked as he ripped a bush that covered the pathway.
"Im a Brine, She is A Brine Hunter, Apparently I have other family that she is hunting, and Im her most wanted." I replied, admiring my sword in my hands as we walked.
"Can we stop for a break?" Sam asked as he slowed down his walking.
"Yeah, Im hungry" Cherry stated and Mets shook her head in approval.
We all sat down my a shimmering crystal clear pond that was ripe with wildlife. I grabbed a plump red apple out of my bag and bit into it, looking over to see my friends grabbing food out of their bag, I saw Apples, Cake, Sandwich, Carrots, and some Potatoes all emerge from different backpacks. I ate my apple and spit out a seed.
"Ew." I wiped my mouth with my sleeve and looked over to Cherry who sat beside me. I laughed as she almost dropped her sandwich as a huge gust of wind blew our hair over our faces.
I blew the hair out of my face and laughed as Mets struggled to move her hair out of the way of her cake. I looked over at Sam and Video who looked over at the girls struggling with their hair and highfived each other playfully mocking us. Jenna sat near the pond silently eating a cookie, a few feet away from us.
"Jenna, Whats wrong?" Chris called over from beside Video.
"Nothing" Jenna stared into the water and Chris looked at me with a crossed look on his face.
"Maybe she feels bad" Cherry whispered in my ear. I looked over to her and shrugged. I got up and walked over to Jenna's side.
"Jenna, Stop feeling bad. You are helping us. Me. Your still our friend. Everything will be fine." I stood a foot away from where Jenna sat, soaking her feet in the clear water.
"Oreo, Im worried about how bad you'll get hurt. And your friends!" Jenna covered her face with her hands and cried.
"Your friends too" I corrected her and walked back to where I sat next to Cherry.
"She ok?" Mets asked and wiped her face with a napkin.
"She is just worried" I threw the apple core into the trees and stood up as everyone else finished up. I threw my pack over my shoulder and helped Sam get up off the ground.
"Ooh" Chris taunted and skipped over to the path giggling. I rolled my eyes and teleported in front of Chris, scaring him so much as he flew back onto his butt and laughing embarrassed. I smiled and heard my friends laughing from a little ways from the path. I grabbed Chris's arm and yanked him up to his feet.
"Lets get moving again" Jenna interrupted and walked ahead. I looked at her and started walking.
A little awhile later we reached a small little village with 5 houses as the sun lowered in the sky. We walked to the building that a villager directed as the Mayors home. I knocked on the door and the door flew open within the 3rd knock.
"Why hello visitor! Come in! Come in! Rooms are downstairs!" The mayor spilled out and moved out of the way of the door, inviting us in.
I stepped wearily in and my friends followed, he lead us to a large room with 7 beds lining the wall. I took the first bed closest to the wall, Then Sam, Then Cherry, Then Video, Then Mets, Then Chris, Then Jenna. I set my bag down beside my bed and unzipped the top. I grabbed my pyjamas and walked to the bathroom to change. I walked out a few minutes later with my hair up and pyjamas on. Jenna walked into the bathroom as I walked to my bed and laid down. My eyes felt heavy and my eyes closed as I drifted to sleep.
