Not My Final Fate

1. At what point do you tell yourself to just walk away?

2. "What is depression like?" He whispered. "It's like drowning. Except you can see everyone around you breathing."

3. I must not fear. For fear is a killer. I must only remain.

5. Some people like to blend in. We like to make a scene.

6. It's up to you what your world looks like.

7. Lets find another way to say goodbye.

8. If you're mine, you're mine. I don't share well.

9. If you want forever, you have to start with today.

10. Don't only talk to me when your bored, I'm not here for your entertainment.

11. I hope you don't mind that sometimes I need to be reassured that I'm your everything when I feel like nothing.

12. Storms don't last forever.

13. Baby, me and you seem to be playing dominoes, I fall for you, you fall for another.

14. Who are you when no ones watching?

15. Look me in my fucking eyes and tell me I'm alive.

16. Can no one see this smile I'm faking,
See how, inside, I'm constantly shaking?
These people all claim they know me well,
Yet no one can see through my crumbling shell?

"I'm fine", I whisper, my sadness unknown,
They leave me to deal with this anguish alone.
I've hidden behind this wall most of my life,
I've managed so far, I've dealt with my strife.

Watching as, slowly, my blood leaks away,
It helps to keep life's true horrors at bay.
I pull down my sleeve to cover my hurt,
For approaching footsteps, I'm on the alert.

I guess my pretense is just all too real,
No one has to know of the pain that I feel.
The real me inside, where no one can see,
I can fool everyone else, why can't I fool me?

17. You laugh and point at me.
Why can't you just let me be?
Is for you there something wrong?
Yeah, I should have known all along
That you could never change.
Now I'm the one to blame.
I'm the one who's framed

18. She's gone, she's dead
She really took her life
Nobody ever saw it coming because
She always said, "I'm fine"

19. She's in a downward spiral. Trying her best just to smile.

20. If love is blind then this feelings sightless.

21. I grip the bottle o' so tight.
I won't let go until the night.

All these thoughts rush through my head.
Loves and pride and things I once said.

I know it's from the former me.
The one that can no longer be.

It hits me hard, I cannot cope.
So drink until I start to choke..

Day to day, I live like this.
High to high and kiss to kiss.

I hope one day, the drunk will let me out.
And never again will I drink and shout.

Until that time I'll drown and hate.
I just hope that's not my final fate.
