Chapter 2: The Flight
When we arrive at the airport I notice a tall handsome blond guy standing next to the counter. He turns around and looks at me and smiles.
After he gets done talking to the guy behind the counter, he comes up to me and says," Hey, where are you headed?"
"Ohh.... Umm... England," I say getting lost in his sparkling blue eyes.
"Really? Me too.," he says excitedly," Where at in England?"
"Umm... Wolverhampton. I think."
"Awesome, me too! Do you think we can hang out when were there. You know, since we'll both be new."
"Yeah sure. Meet you there."
"Oh my god! Did I just talk to him? He is the most gorgeous guy I've ever seen. And I talked to him! Omg I'm gonna die. No I'm not, cause then I won't see him again. Someone help me!," I say to myself.
Mom and dad turn around. "You ok? And who was that guy? He's not your boyfriend, is he?," mom asks.
"Yeah, I'm ok. And no, he's not my boyfriend."
"Well, good. Your too young for a boyfriend anyway."
"Mom, I'm 16. When am I going to be old enough?"
"When your 60.," she says handing me a airplane ticket," Now come on, we're gonna miss the plane."
"Mom! I'm not a kid anymore!"
"Ohh, lighten up, you have a long plane ride ahead of you."
"Yeah, I know.," I say following her onto the plane.
When we get on the plane, I notice that blond guy that was at the counter, was in the back of the plane. I looked back at him and smiled. Then, he smiled back.
A few hours later, I see mom and dad are asleep, so I sneak past them and go to the back of the plane where he was. There was an empty seat beside him, so I sit down.
"Hey," he says as soon as I sit down.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Oh, the usual. Just sitting on a plane doing nothing."
"That's cool. It's the usual for me too."
"Really? Where are you originally from?," he asks.
"Minnesota. And I bet from your accent, your from Ireland. Am I right?"
"Yup, I'm Irish. You got to love me.," he says chuckling a little.
"Yeah, I'm half Irish. If that counts for anything, Lol."
"Lol, you look a little sleepy. Do you want to go to sleep?"
"Yeah, I stayed up all night last night. I couldn't sleep. But I'm alright right now."
"Ok, " he says," Can I have your number? So I can call you, and know where to meet you at."
"Yeah, sure. I say as a write my number an a piece of paper I pulled out of my purse," Here you go.," I said handing it to him.
"Thanks," he said smiling.
"Well, I got to go back up there with my parents. See you when I get there!"
"Ok, see you later."
When I get up there with my parents, they were still asleep. "Thank god," I say as I sit down beside them.
I look out the window and soon become drowsy and drift off to sleep.
