I'm Different [One Direction]

Chapter 1: Saying Goodbye

I climbed on the car and took a last glance at the house that saw me growing up.

My mom put her hand on my lap and rubbed circles trying to comfort me.

I knew it was going to be a long way to the airport so I grabbed my earphones out of my bag and plugged them into my phone. I double clicked the home button and I pressed play.

DNA by Little Mix came on. I practically jumped out of my seat, I loved Little Mix! 

I started humming along and looked out my window.

I really should have thought this over...

I do want to leave but I don't want to leave my home here in LA. I wish this hadn't happened.

I wish I wasn't a coward that runs away from her problems.

But I guess that's who I am, a coward.

DNA ended and next was Drunk by Ed Sheeran.

I hummed along once again. This song was truly amazing, it always helps me relax when I listen to Ed. His songs are just so ... touching.

I sighed again.

Today isn't my day. 

I decided to sleep for a while.Maybe I could get things off my mind by taking a nice nap.

"Ti, wake up! We're here at the airport"- Somebody shook my shoulder slightly.

"Wh-at?" I stuttered.

 "We're here darling. Do you need any help with your luggage?"- My mom asked me with concern in her eyes.

"Uh.. No um I think I'm okay"- I didn't want her to worry about me. She was already very concerned about me going to another continent alone and I wanted to show her that I was capable of doing things in my own.

"Alright..."- she trailed off. I checked the time in my phone and realize my plane as boarding in half an hour. They were probably gonna call us to board any minute.

"It's half an hour before my plane leaves"- I told my mom. This is going the worst thing to do, say goodbye.

"I'm going to miss you so much"- my mom said as she hugged me tightly once again. 

"I am too mommy"- I always would call her mommy. It as just like not calling your cat by his name, it just feels different. I'm not saying my mom is a cat, I hate cats.

I got my luggage out of my mom's car and I slowly walked to the entrance of the airport. I didn't know how I was going to manage the Irish. I mean, it's basically like English but it has some difficult words. I probably don't know what half of those mean!

"Ti, you could um get in the airplane now. The message board says that the plane is now boarding"- I knew she didn't want me to step into that airplane. But I had already made my decision. I didn't want to suffer anymore. I wanted to be at peace, and leaving LA is the best way to make everything work.

I hugged my mom one last time before walking away. I didn't say anything in response to her telling me to get into the airplane.  I just walked away, I knew that if I said something she was going to hug me and never let go. That's what I would've done. I guess you can't change somethings.

As I put my luggage in the scanner I heard a man behind me. I turned around and he was smiling down at me with his face all wrinkled. I smiled politely even thought I hated boys,men,or whatever you like to call them. I know that all not all of them are the same, some are even worse. 

I ignored the man and kept putting my luggage in the scanner. I finished with my make-up bag and the women who was the one who was going to escort me and the rest of the passengers to the plane opened a little door and let me  in. I looked back trying to look for my mom. She wasn't there anymore. I guess she thought that I already had boarded the plane.
