Natalie's POV:

I winced, it was freezing outside. I was scrunched up, breathing hard against the wall. I let out a light whimper from my mouth, slowly picking the glass out of my cuts. As I slowly picked up the last piece of glass, the rain slowed down. It left large, puffy clouds in the sky. I shrank into the brick, graffitied walls of the alley, rubbing my arms for warmth. Taps of someone running filled the motionless, abandoned streets. I raised my eyebrows, my ears perked up a bit. Nobody is supposed to be out now. It was late out. I shivered, it was probably a hobo. I mean, it is New York City. My eyes widened, I pushed myself up from the floor, but was pushed back down from the pain buzzing in my legs. I sighed and hoped I wasn't in any danger.

'You just have to attract danger, don't you?' I thought to myself.

"Zayn!!!!!!!" I heard shrieks of tweens and teens filling the streets. I raised my head higher.

Whose Zayn? I thought to myself. Thuds of running came closer and closer. I bit my lip as a shadowy figure ran into the alley. I gasped and let out a little shriek, my cuts began to sting.

"Whose there?!" The person said. His voice came out in a whisper, his thick British accent gave away the fact that he wasn't from here. "I said whose there!" He repeated himself.

I slowly pulled myself from the ground, standing up. I slipped my hood off of my head, brushing out my hair. "P-Please don't hurt me.." I murmured. It came out in a low whisper. I glanced up at him, a low gasp exited my mouth. His wet, black lazy day hair smoothed perfectly on his scalp. His soft, caramel eyes watched me. He wore a black t-shirt, and seemed to have thrown on some jeans.(His outfit) He was absolutely gorgeous. I must have looked horrible in my torn up Vans, and shirt.

"Are you alright?" He asked, coming closer to me. I shuddered, he noticed my cuts.

Thanks a lot, 'dad'. You've ruined my life. I nodded to the boy, afraid to speak.

"What's wrong? You-" His voice faded, my eyes slowly closed. I felt weak. Like nothing... Little had I known, that I had just passed out.
